Ingredients: Huang La (Yellow Beeswax) (0.5 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Melt the beeswax to obtain the liquid. Check that the temperature is appropriate, then drip onto the swollen and painful area. It will heal immediately.

Formula for Treating Fox Urine Thorn with Day-and-Night Restless Pain and Insomnia: Pu Gong Cao Smear Formula
Ingredients: Pu Gong Cao (Taraxaci Herba) including roots, stems, and leaves (4 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Pound the herb until mushy, squeeze out the white juice, and apply frequently to the affected area. This is highly effective.

Formula for Treating Fox Urine Thorn with Unbearable Pain: Gua Lou Poultice Formula
Ingredients: Sheng Gua Lou Gen (Fresh Trichosanthes Root), Chi (Fermented Soybean) (equal parts).
Preparation and Administration: Pound the two ingredients and form them into cakes for application. Replace when dry.

Formula for Treating Swelling and Pain in Finger and Toe Joints from Fox Urine Thorn: Chi Poultice Formula
Ingredients: Chi (Fermented Soybean) (1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Chew the ingredient thoroughly and apply as a poultice. After a short while, check if hairs/thorns have adhered to the fermented soybean. If none are seen, continue chewing and applying until all thorns are removed.

Formula for Treating Fox Urine Thorn Patients with Heat, Swelling, and Pain: Xing Ren Wash Formula
Ingredients: Xing Ren (Prunus Armeniacae Semen) (14 grains).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the ingredient finely, boil for one or two boils, and soak the punctured area while hot. Replacing it multiple times yields good results.

Formula for Treating Malignant Thorns Embedded in Flesh: Gui La Pill Formula
Ingredients: Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (remove coarse bark).
Preparation and Administration: Pound the ingredient into powder. Melt yellow beeswax to form pills. Place the pill inside the wound according to its size. Cover with three to five layers of wet paper. Use heat to melt the pill so it penetrates the flesh. The thorn will naturally emerge. If no thorn is present, the injured tissue will also heal flat.

Ingredients: Du Ke Li (Single Chestnut) (any amount).
