Discourse states: For those with insufficient form (physical constitution), warmth should be applied using qi-tonifying methods; for those with insufficient essence, supplementation should be achieved using flavorful substances. When form and essence interact mutually, qi and blood are generated. Consequently, Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) Qi circulate smoothly without deviating from their proper rhythm. However, if dietary intake is irregular, daily routines lack consistency, and desires are excessive, the physical form becomes fatigued and essence is shaken. This leads to the depletion of Zhen (True) Qi, giving rise to deficiency and damage diseases. Therefore, the treatment method should focus on tonifying deficiency and benefiting Qi.
