It is stated in the discussion: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) records: "Wind pathogen and Yangming channel qi enter the Stomach together, following the meridians upward to the inner canthus of the eye. If the person is emaciated, the exterior will leak sweat and feel cold; this is termed 'Cold Invasion' (Han Zhong), manifesting as tearing."
For injuries caused by wind pathogen, characterized by emaciation, excessive sweating, and tearing due to Cold Invasion, use Wenzhong Tang (Warm the Middle Decoction).
Herbs include: Danggui Radix Angelicae Sinensis (sliced and baked), Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (2 liang each), Renshen Radix Ginseng, Fuzii Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (prepared, split, skin and umbilicus removed), Ganjiang Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens Preparatum (prepared), Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata (honey-fried), Shujiao Fructus Zanthoxyli (deprived of eyes and closed ones, stir-fried until moisture evaporates), Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (bark removed, 1 liang each).
The above eight herbs are coarsely crushed like hemp or soybean seeds. Each dose consists of 4 qianbi. Add 1.5 zhan of water, decoct to obtain 0.8 zhan, strain, and take warm. Administer twice daily.
For Wind-Stroke with emaciation, excessive sweating leading to Cold Invasion and tearing, use Shihu San (Dendrobium Powder).
Herbs include: Shihu Caulis Dendrobii (roots removed, crushed), Fuzii Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (prepared, split, skin and umbilicus removed), Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (bark removed), Qinjiao Herba Gentianae Macrophyllae (sprouts and soil removed), Huangqi Radix Astragali Preparati (honey-fried, crushed, amount missing in text).
The above six herbs are pounded, passed through a fine sieve to make a powder. Each dose is 2 qianbi, taken at any time, mixed with warm water for administration.
For the disease of Cold Invasion, manifesting as spontaneous tearing from the eyes, use Nongpo Yin (Magnolia Bark Drink).
Herbs include: Houpu Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (bark removed, coated with ginger juice, roasted until fragrant, 1.5 lian), Qianhu Radix Peucedani, Guizhi Ramulus Cinnamomi (bark removed), Shigypsum Fibrosum (crushed), Chishao Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Zhimu Cortex Anemarrhenae (heart removed, roasted until slightly yellow), Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata (honey-fried, crushed, 1 liang each), Xingren Semen Armeniacae Amarum (soaked in hot water, skin and tips removed, twin kernels, bran-roasted until slightly yellow, 3 fen).
The above eight herbs are coarsely crushed and sifted. Each dose is 3 qianbi. Add 1 zhan of water, 0.5 ban of fresh ginger, and 3 dates split open. Decoct together to 0.6 zhan, strain, and take when slightly warm at any time.
For excessive sweating due to wind pathogen, leading to Cold Invasion and tearing, use Renshen Tang (Ginseng Decoction).
Herbs include: Renshen Radix Ginseng (3 fen), Banxia Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparatum (soaked in hot water seven times to remove slipperiness), Ganjiang Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens Preparatum (prepared, crushed), BaiFuling Sclerotium Poriae (black skin removed), Baizhu Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Gancao Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata (honey-fried, crushed), Helile Fructus Terminaliae Chebulae (roasted, using the peel... amount missing in text).
