Commentary states: The *Neijing* records that wind pathogen and Yangming channel qi enter the stomach together, traveling along the meridians upward to the inner canthus of the eye. If the person is obese, the wind pathogen cannot be excreted from the exterior, leading to "Heat Zhong" (a condition characterized by internal heat accumulation) accompanied by yellowing of the eyes. Wind belongs to Yang Qi; it moves swiftly and changes frequently. When wind pathogen lodges in the stomach, internal circulation is obstructed, and external release is blocked, causing heat to steam and stagnate within. Hence, it is called "Heat Zhong." The Yangming meridian originates at the side of the nose, intersects at the root of the nose, and descends along the lateral aspect of the nose. Heat qi follows this pathway inward, thus causing yellowing of the eyes.
