At 10:30, without a definitive diagnosis of the specific disease and without conducting any examinations (such as a chest X-ray), the doctor stated that the child needed to be hospitalized. I thought that since the child had just changed dressings, hospitalization was premature, and since the doctor could not explain the condition, I suggested observing with intravenous infusion first, and if there was no improvement, then hospitalize. At that time, the doctor also asked my son's father, Hu Zhengguo, to sign a medical record refusing hospitalization (which the hospital later used as the sole excuse). Immediately after, within less than an hour, seeing that the child had not improved, we proceeded with hospitalization. The hospital inexplicably arranged for admission to the Department of Gastroenterology. The gastroenterology department performed an electrocardiogram and diagnosed Myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle). I could not imagine that my son, who was always healthy and strong (a member of the school basketball team), would go from being described as normal by the doctors to suffering from an unheard-of Viral Myocarditis in less than a day! A notice of critical illness was subsequently issued.

During the intravenous infusion, the condition changed suddenly (was this related to the speed of the previous infusion? According to data, myocarditis requires slow drip administration; even slightly faster can lead to severe Heart Failure). At 2:00 PM (on the 26th), the gastroenterology department transferred my son to Ward 2, Department of Cardiology. However, my son still felt unwell all over and felt even worse. Yet, after issuing the critical illness notice, the hospital did not actively treat or rescue my son; they only hung the infusion bottle and left. It was not until the afternoon of the 27th, when I could not find any doctor despite searching everywhere and strongly requested a transfer to another hospital, that a doctor came out and said that myocarditis patients are difficult to move, and that Professor Sun from Xiangya Hospital had been invited for consultation.

Professor Sun from Xiangya Hospital was not consulted until 4:00 PM. Professor Sun instructed that a temporary cardiac pacemaker must be installed immediately. He told me to rest assured, saying that my son's liver function and other aspects were fine, and that he needed to rest for a year after passing the dangerous period... It was not until 7:00 PM that the hospital attempted to insert a temporary cardiac pacemaker manually, which failed. After 8:00 PM, they temporarily called someone to bring a machine to implant the temporary cardiac pacemaker, and then they left. Before this, the doctor asked if I had money, stating that installing a temporary cardiac pacemaker is very expensive. I said yes, I would sell our house to save my son!!! In such an extremely dangerous situation, my suffering child, the hospital did not assign dedicated personnel for monitoring. Although we reported the severity of my son's condition multiple times, the doctors still forcibly explained it away as a normal reaction. Repeated claims of "normal conditions" made my son's condition increasingly critical, transforming from a simple cold on the 25th into viral myocarditis in a very short time.

Around 5:00 AM on the 28th, my son suddenly bled from his mouth and nose. I was anxious and frantic, calling for doctors everywhere, but received no response. It was only with great difficulty that I found the on-duty doctor sleeping in the duty room. After reporting the situation, the doctor dawdled for a long time before lazily going to the ward in his morning sweater to take my son's temperature. The temperature reading was 38.5 degrees Celsius. The doctor said this was a normal reaction to the medication! When my son coughed once, the doctor turned his face far away; I felt truly distressed watching this. Afterwards, he calmly went back to sleep as if nothing had happened. My son said to me with a pained expression, "Mom, are the doctors using me as an experiment?" I watched helplessly as my son's condition became increasingly severe and highly abnormal. I sought medical assistance multiple times, but not a single doctor came to attend to us! It was truly like crying out to heaven and earth, but receiving no answer! Thus, the hospital delayed until working hours. When the doctors saw that the condition was extremely critical, far from what they had consistently claimed as "normal," they panicked and began emergency resuscitation efforts. However, at 4:20 PM on the 28th, my son ultimately could not escape death and died despite resuscitation efforts. Only afterwards did the hospital list the diagnoses: 1. Acute Fulminant Severe Myocarditis, Severe Arrhythmia, Third-degree Atrioventricular Block, Ventricular Standstill, Junctional Escape Rhythm, Cardiogenic Shock, Pump Failure. 2. Severe Pneumonia, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. (A chest X-ray was only done right before death). If these incomprehensible diseases were real, they were contracted during these two days in the hospital. I entered the hospital because my child had a cold, yet in two days, so many illnesses appeared. By the time treatment ended with death, how could I trust the hospital, how could I accept it...

As a mother, I watched helplessly as my son quietly passed away beside me. At this moment, my grief is so profound that no language seems adequate to describe it, but I firmly believe that any mother can understand this sorrow. We, who should regard saving lives and healing the wounded as our highest duty, the white-clad angels of medicine, ignored us, displayed a cold attitude, and even said: "This is not our concern; he was transferred from the Gastroenterology Department." It seemed that in their eyes, he was merely another unjustly dead soul. Human life was treated as worthless grass, insignificant. But to me, he was my only son, all my effort, and my lifelong hope.

My son, hospitalized for a cold on the 26th, left this world after just three days, carrying whole-body edema, blood stains on his mouth and nose, and a face distorted beyond recognition by pain, leaving under unclear circumstances. The greatest pain in the world is the old burying the young. How can parents bear such a heavy blow? At the moment my son painfully closed his eyes and stopped breathing, I felt darkness before my eyes, for my sky had collapsed! Son! Take your mother with you! How can I endure the days ahead!!!

In just three days, Hu Xi lost his life due to a "cold." This is clearly inseparably linked to the hospital's ineffective nursing measures during the diagnosis and treatment process, which delayed the best treatment time. Specifically manifested during treatment: imprecise diagnosis, admission to the wrong department, inappropriate medication use, and extreme irresponsibility towards the patient!

Hu Xi, a lively teenager in the prime of youth, a good son in his parents' hearts, a good student in the eyes of teachers and peers, quietly departed. A vibrant life turned into a wisp of light smoke, drifting like a light falling leaf through this desolate world, as if he had never come...

However, the hospital provided not even a basic reasonable explanation!!!

Where is the medical ethics and integrity? Where is justice and righteousness? Where is the heavenly principle of the human world?

The most cruel thing in the human world is separation by life and death. My son, may you have a safe journey on the road to heaven. Your mother will fight for justice for you until death...

Author's Note: Subsequently, the family requested to seal the medical records. The hospital delayed for several hours and refused to photocopy more than twenty pages of records for the family, citing them as hospital secrets. When the deceased's grandparents, in their 80s, dragged their frail bodies to see the grandson whom the hospital claimed was improving, the hospital leaders avoided meeting them. Upon learning that the hospital had treated their only grandson to death in two days, both elderly people fell ill at home and could not get up. Being children and parents themselves, if they had any conscience, the hospital would not have treated the deceased's family so immorally... Moreover, the hospital brought police to beat the deceased's mother unconscious. Afterward, they denied it, asking, "Do you have evidence?" Bystanders shouted for help, but the hospital ignored them. The mother only regained consciousness after pinching the Renzhong point (GV26). With such darkness in the hospital, how could they believe the appraisal stated by the hospital? Furthermore, poor families cannot afford to give red envelopes!!! It was clearly a serious medical liability accident... yet the hospital tried hard to shirk responsibility!!! Hateful...

Note: Kind netizens willing to provide relevant assistance please contact the deceased's family promptly.

Deep sympathy for this pitiful family!

Below is my experience:
I also want to know what connection there is between a cold and myocarditis?
When I was in the first year of junior high school, due to a cold accompanied by cough and fever, I went to the hospital for a long time without improvement, so I was hospitalized. At that time, I was also told I had a viral cold. I remember staying in the hospital for half a month (treatment lasted much longer than this). Every day无非 was taking medicine, injections, and IV drips. Many different medicines were tried, but none had obvious effects. Later, having no other way, they kept me hospitalized for daily IV drips, forcibly suppressing the illness. During hospitalization, I began to feel very uncomfortable in my heart, but I was luckier than that pitiful child; it wasn't as severe as his. It was just Sinus Arrhythmia and Tachycardia. During that period, my heartbeat remained above 90 beats per minute. When uncomfortable, it sometimes reached 150 or even 180 beats per minute, but this rapid beating usually didn't last long and passed quickly. Then the doctor said I had myocarditis (I don't know what evidence they had). They similarly failed to cure my heart discomfort. Later, when I was discharged, my health was much worse than before. My heart often felt uncomfortable, and it took over a year for my heartbeat to drop to 80 beats. For many years thereafter, I often felt very uncomfortable in my heart (but hospital checks found no abnormalities). Now, 15 years have passed, and I still occasionally feel heart discomfort. My overall physical quality is very poor, and I fatigue easily. The day before yesterday, I saw a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, who said I had Kidney Deficiency (Kidney Xu, a TCM concept indicating deficiency in kidney energy/function). I don't know if this is related. I took Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia), but it had no effect, so I let it go.

So here I remind everyone: be extremely careful when using Western medicine protocols to treat colds and fevers; do not let them treat randomly. When I was young (starting from first grade of primary school), I definitely caught a cold every year, and colds always involved fever, more than once a year. Back then, we knew nothing and would just go to the hospital for medicine, injections, and IV drips every time. Looking back now, this erroneous behavior led to my body declining, and it is certainly related to the myocarditis caused by that subsequent cold. Since then, I haven't caught colds or fevers often, but I clearly feel my body is bad, uncomfortable, mainly lacking spirit. Unlike when I was young; although I had colds and fevers every year, I was energetic even when sick.

Now I am completely helpless. Having 2 comfortable days out of 10 is considered good, but when I go to Western medicine doctors, they absolutely say there is no disease.

The so-called myocarditis is actually caused by Western medicine's abuse of anti-inflammatory drugs introducing Cold Pathogens (Han Xie, external pathogenic factors characterized by cold nature) into the heart. This disease name has instead become a shield for them to shirk responsibility, just like terminal diseases such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Leukemia, Nephrotic Syndrome, etc. Which ones were not caused by their treatments? And which ones did not start as a small cold? If this issue were statistically analyzed, the results would be clear. Perhaps they simply refuse to make it public. Once patients know, their revenue stream is cut off.

On floor 59, you can fill out a consultation form at the Registration Office of Futai Caotang.
The fact that you have endured until now shows your foundation is still okay; otherwise, you would have finished long ago. Treating you to induce a high fever would suffice, but I wonder if you would be afraid?

The cunning nature of Western medicine lies in giving terrifying names to the various severe illnesses they cause, using them as shields, as if the disease existed in the patient long ago, only undetected initially. But why don't patients think about it: originally, they clearly did not have this disease; why did it appear as soon as Western medicine medication was administered? On one hand, too cunning; on the other, too foolish. Thus, this not-so-sophisticated deception can continue endlessly.

First, thank you Sanqi Sheng for your reply!
Since coming to the Folk TCM Network, I suddenly opened my mind and understood many principles. At the same time, I deeply admire the doctors for everything they do for the public.
If not for limited conditions, I would have filled out the consultation form to consult the master long ago! I am not afraid of a mere fever.
My current situation is complex. First, I am not in China, making obtaining herbs very difficult, almost impossible; second, I am already over 3 months pregnant, so medication use will be restricted.
However, I currently have another thorny problem to ask the master about, hoping for a reply. The question is as follows:
Today I went to the hospital to show the doctor the Tuberculin PPD skin test result. They said I was positive (>15mm) and need further examination. They temporarily did not prescribe medication for me because the entire examination was not completed. Originally, this positivity is not unusual. I did this skin test in China a few years ago, and it was also over ten millimeters large. As long as there are no other obvious symptoms, treatment is generally not required. What is detestable is that I learned in the United States, as long as the skin test result is positive, one generally needs to use "Isoniazid" for continuous treatment for 9 months, to prevent future consequences. I found online materials indicating they even use this treatment for pregnant women. I feel very angry! And also afraid they will force me to use medication.
Now I ask the master, how should this problem be resolved? Should I insist on not using medication? Besides this, what else should I pay attention to? Hoping for a reply. Sorry to trouble you, thanks in advance!

I went to the consultation room and filled out a form. If the master has time, I hope to receive comprehensive advice, or even just some guidance. Very grateful!

Master, your appeal truly reveals the sorrow of the world and the harm Western medicine does to us. Every day I see children with needles in their heads and hands, receiving IV drips, and I feel great pain. When I talk to their parents, they do not understand, asking if TCM can cure it? What if something goes wrong? I am in pain, watching those children cry, knowing it is poison but still having them receive it. I truly hope our folk hospital can open its doors soon and expand its influence. Let efficacy speak for itself. How many people in society today understand that Western medicine is a demon? Even if we all come out to appeal, perhaps in others' eyes, we are madmen. It is still more important to accumulate more strength for a major strike against Western medicine and establish our folk base. Currently, Western drug prices are artificially high, causing great public indignation. This is exactly the time when the master is needed to accomplish great things. For the survival of the Chinese nation, could the master consider coming out of retirement?

I am a newcomer to Folk TCM - Futai Caotang. I really feel a sense of regret for meeting so late.
In just a few days, I have learned so much from the master. As the master said, my understanding still needs further improvement. I will strictly listen to the master's teachings.
I truly admire the selfless dedication of the master and all folk TCM practitioners. Here, I sincerely thank you all!

We are all the fortunate ones of the Caotang.
As a new mother, I also want to share my experience with everyone.
