Ruoye (Bamboo Leaf) is burned to ash. The juice is extracted by pouring water over it using a cloth, and the affected area is washed with this juice. Continuous washing will naturally yield results. Another method: Clean the roots of Chinese chive (Allium tuberosum). Wrap them externally with leaves of the citrus tree. Insert these into the nostrils; healing occurs overnight, with repeated efficacy. Another method: Take a small amount of Lemna minor (Qingping), grind it until paste-like. Add a small amount of Bingpian (Borneol) collected from the top of plum blossoms. Apply to the eye; symptoms gradually dissipate overnight. This treats Pterygium (fleshy growth climbing onto the cornea) with miraculous efficacy. Another method: In winter, collect clean winter snow. Grind large water chestnuts together with snow water into powder, then dry in the sun. Add a little Borneol, place it in a goose feather tube, and instill into the eyes for effective results.
Hongdan (Lead Monoxide) is mixed with white honey and applied to the Taiyang acupoint (Ex-HN5, Temple); pain relief is immediate. Another method: Wash the area with salt water decoction. Another method: Soak Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) in human milk, steam it, and apply frequently for efficacy. Another method: Burn branches of Zingiber officinale (Ginger plant/Jingmu) to extract yellow juice and apply to the affected area. Another method: Mix Hibiscus mutabilis (Furong) powder with water and apply to the Taiyang acupoint. Another method: Mix Jiangzhi (Ginger Juice) with Feifan (Calcined Alum) and apply to the eyelids; pain stops immediately. Another method: Urine from a male dog, while hot, is rubbed on the area; efficacy is like magic. Another method: At the third watch (Wugeng, approx. 3-5 AM), use one's own warm urine to dip and wash the area. Another method: For astringent pain, apply Sanshui (Three Waters) to the eye socket and eyelids for efficacy. Another method: Powdered Morus alba (Sangye) leaf is rolled in paper and smoked; inhale the smoke through the nose for efficacy. Another method: Apply juice of water chestnut; efficacy is immediate. Another method: For chronic cases not healing, use Ruiren (Persicae Semen/Brazil Nut Kernel - *Note: Context implies Prunus persica seed or similar kernel used in ophthalmology, often translated as Peach Kernel but specifically selected white ones here*) (select white and clean ones, remove shell, grind finely, and remove oil completely; if oil is not removed, it is ineffective). Mix with white honey. Use a bone hairpin to instill into the inner canthus of the eye; redness recedes with excellent verification.
Tongbian (Child's Urine) is used to decoct Ganju (Chrysanthemi Flos). Wash the area frequently. Another method: For long-standing ailments not healing, where no nebula (corneal opacity) has formed yet, instill one drop of Shengjiangzhi (Fresh Ginger Juice) for immediate healing.
Remove the fat from the gallbladder of a castrated ram. Fill it thoroughly with good honey, mix well, and steam until dry. Then put it in a bottle, grind finely, and prepare as a paste for instilling into the eyes. It is named "Er Bai Wei Hua Cao Gao" (Two Hundred Herb Flower and Grass Paste) because honey gathers nectar from hundreds of plants and herbs. Another method: Soak original silkworm feces (Yuancangsha) in true sesame oil for two to three days, grind finely, and apply to the affected area with a comb. Healing occurs even if left overnight. It is named "Yi Mo Gao" (One-Wipe Paste). Another method: Soar Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba) in ginger juice overnight, dry in the sun, and grind into powder. Use one qian each time, soak in boiling water, and wash. Crush Yezi (Leaf) to extract juice. Cover the eyes with gauze made of soap-tree fiber. Dip a brush in the medicinal juice and draw two pupils on the gauze. Then drip the juice. Parasites should emerge.
