患处
(Those that rise immediately upon pressure are)
Take the head of a clay oil lamp used for many years, along with its accumulated soot and grease. Heat it in fire. Apply it to the umbilicus. It will naturally fall off after a long time.
For blackness on the flanks accompanied by pain, use stir-fried large malt (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen), heated and ironed over the area.
(Those with old black skin all over the body, containing purple-black spots within the skin are)
Wash with lotus leaf (Nelumbinis Nelumbo Leaf) decocted in wine.
Use Persicaria hirta (Liuji Nu) or Calystegia hederacea (Mabian Cao). Decoct for water to fumigate and wash.
Food-stagnation drum distension. Belching with an acidic taste. Fullness after eating. Stir-fried radish seed (Raphani Fructus), heated and ironed over the area.
Kansui Radix (Gansui), Crotonis Fructus processed with oil (Bashuang), Costus Root (Muxiang) (in equal parts). Grind into fine powder. Fill into the umbilicus.
Rhubarb Root (Dahuang) (2 liang), Croton Seed (Badou) (5 qian), Tooth Soap Fruit (Yazao), Aurantium Fructus (Zhike), Radish Seed (Luobozhong) (stir-fried, 4 liang each), Amber (Hupo), Agarwood (Chenxiang) (5 qian). Juice from ginger peel (Jiangpi) is used to make pills. When using, grind into powder, mix with plaster, and apply. (For treating all types of distension, select Zusanli ST-37, located three cun below the knee, lateral side.)
For any type of drum distension, abdominal fullness, weakness during attacks, and inability to urinate. First fill the umbilicus with Musk (Shexiang) (1 fen), then use Kansui Radix powder (Gansui) and Realgar (Xionghuang) (1 qian each).
Apple snail (Tianluo).
Bury the stems and leaves of Akebia (Shuodeng) in hot ashes. Make them extremely hot. Apply to the swelling. Replace when cool. Eliminate completely within one day and night.
Boil broom made from millet stems (Shujing) in water for bathing.
Ground beetle (Tugou) (one), Calomel (Qingfen) (2.5 fen). Grind into powder. Snuff a small amount into the nose. It is ideal when yellow fluid drains out completely.
Edema starting from the feet. If it enters the abdomen, it can be fatal. Cook red bean (Chidou) (1 sheng) until soft, take the juice. Warm soak the feet and knees.
Chopped scallion leaves boiled until soft for soaking. Three to four times a day is good.
Croton Seed (Badou) (30 pieces), Croton husk (Hepi), crushed. With five sheng of water, boil to obtain three sheng. Dip cotton cloth in the juice. Wipe the swollen area. Wipe five or six times as needed. Do not approach eyes or genitals.
Wrap baked ginger (Wei Jiang) in cotton cloth. Insert into the lower orifice (anus). Change when cold.
Upper qi cough. Abdominal fullness. Body edema. Bo tree leaf (Qiuye) (3 sheng), boil thirty times. Remove dregs and reduce. Shape into pills the size of small dates. Insert into the rectum using a bamboo tube.
Evodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu) (stir-fried with wine, wrapped in cloth). Walk while applying heat/ironing. ○ Alternatively, use Amaranth (Xiancai), red or white does not matter. (10 jin). Wash away mud. Roots and leaves need not be removed.
Decoct in river water in two large basins. Use a live soft-shell turtle (Jiayu) (one, weighing 12-13 liang). Do not chop. Boil in amaranth soup with bones until mushy like paste.
Spread the turtle paste thinly, dry in sun, and grind into powder. Boon sesame oil (MAYOU) (8 liang) is boiled until it forms beads when dropped in water. Add turtle paste (4 liang). If turtle paste is insufficient, add lead powder (Qianfen) to adjust consistency. Form into plaster and store. Spread on a layer of blue cloth-backed paper according to the size of the lump. Apply for seven days to eliminate. For severe cases, apply twice. It will not recur. Proven effective repeatedly.
Alternatively, use fresh Polygonum multiflorum vine (Shuihonghua). Pound together with old garlic. Add saltpeter (Piaoxiao) (1-2 liang). Mold into a cake. Slightly larger than the lump. Place on the lump. Tie tightly with cloth. Change when dry. The lump will dissolve itself.
Alternatively, make paste from Polygonum multiflorum seeds (Shuihonghuazi). Add Musk (Shexiang) (a little).
Alternatively, Red mustard seed (Hongjiecaizi, also known as Pig blood mustard). Any amount. Soak in ginger juice overnight. Approximately one wine glass of mustard seed. Add Musk (Shexiang) (1 qian). Pound thoroughly until paste-like. Spread on blue cloth. Apply to affected area. Tie tightly with a handkerchief externally. Leave overnight. Invariably curative.
Pig bladder (Zhupao). Musk (Shexiang) (1 qian), Asafoetida (awei) (3 qian), Polygonum multiflorum vine (Shuihonghuazi), Rhubarb Root (Dahuang), Angelica sinensis root tip (Guiwei), Kansui Radix (Gansui), Impatiens seed (Jixingzi).
Grind all above into fine powder. Use pig bladder (one). Size according to the lump. Fill half the bladder with dry distilled liquor (Baijiu).
Put the aforementioned powder into the bladder. Tie the mouth tightly. Wrap the bladder securely at the affected site with white cloth. Remove once the lump dissolves completely. Do not delay.
Alternatively, use bark of Toona sinensis (Zhuochunshupi). The upper middle part is best. Take a large bundle. Remove coarse parts. Use only the white inner bark (2 jin). Chop finely and put in pot. Decoct in water. Strain dregs.
Reduce with mild fire to form paste. Spread thinly on cloth. First rub the area with ginger to remove impurities. Then heat the plaster on a tin teapot and apply to the lump. Initially slight pain. After half a day, no pain. Wait for it to fall off naturally. One application cures. Never recurs. Sprinkle a little Musk (Shexiang) on the plaster before applying. When applied, if the surrounding skin breaks and exudes fluid, it heals. Even if distension is hard and exceeds the umbilicus, one or two applications show effect. Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Alternatively, use Realgar (Xionghuang) and Alum (Baifan) (1 liang each). Grind into powder. Mix with flour paste to form plaster. Spread on cloth and apply. Cure occurs when bowel movements become excessively frequent and voluminous. This is a secret recipe.
