This condition presents with swelling and pain of the gums; rinsing the mouth with water causes continuous bleeding from all teeth, hence it is named "Ya Xie" (Tooth Leakage). The treatment principle focuses on stopping bleeding. First, take a handful of Caelestis Folium (Cai Bai Ye, 侧柏叶), crush it to extract its natural juice, and hold it in the mouth. Replace the juice when it becomes warm. After repeating this several times, apply the following powder:
Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis, 3 qian) Yan Shi (Halitum, 3 qian) Bei Zi (Galla Chinensis, 3 qian) Ku Fan (Alumen Exsiccatum, 1 qian) Bai Cao Shuang (Soot from Burning Straw, 1.5 qian) Zhen Jing Mo (True Beijing Ink Stick, 1 qian) Hong He Zi Hui (Ash of Red Brown Seed, 3 qian)
Mix these ingredients thoroughly. After rinsing the mouth clean with rice washing water (Mi Gan Shui), apply this powder to the gums. Internally administer Zhong Jiu Wan (Central Nine Pills) to resolve heat toxicity.
This condition presents with severe swelling and pain in the throat, unbearable in intensity, erupting suddenly like thunder, constituting an acute emergency. Water and food cannot be swallowed, and life hangs in the balance within moments, though some cases may persist for six or seven days. The treatment involves internally administering Zhong Jiu Wan, combined with Jia Jian Gan Jie Tang (Modified Licorice and Platycodon Decoction) and Bai Du San (Defeat Toxin Powder). If external redness and swelling are present, apply Ma Liang Gao (Hemp Cooling Ointment) externally, and insufflate Jia Wei Bing Peng San (Modified Ice and Borax Powder) into the throat.
Jia Jian Gan Jie Tang (Modified Licorice and Platycodon Decoction)
Jie Geng (Platycodon Root) Yuan Shen (Scrophularia Root) Bai Zhi (Angelica Dahurica) Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia Root) Chi Shao (Red Peony Root) Chuan Xiong (Ligusticum Rhizome) Qian Hu (Peucedanum Root) Du Huo (Angelica Pubescens) Lian Qiao (Forsythia Fruit) Jing Jie (Schizonepeta Spike)
Gan Cao (Licorice Root) (each 5 fen) Chou Niu (Calabar Bean) Dou Gen (Kudzu Root) Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root) She Gan (Belamcanda Rhizome) Sheng Di (Rehmannia Root) (each 5 qian) Zhu Ye (Bamboo Leaf) (7 pieces as a guiding drug)
Decoct these ingredients in water and take after meals.
Jia Wei Bing Peng San (Modified Ice and Borax Powder)
Xiong Dan (Bear Bile) Er Cha (Catechu) Xue Jie (Dragon's Blood) Ru Xiang (Olibanum) Mo Yao (Myrrh) Peng Sha (Borax) Han Shui Shi (Calcitum) (each 5 qian) Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis, 6 qian) Bing Pian (Borneol, 1 qian)
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder and insufflate into the throat to induce the maximum discharge of saliva. Approximately seven days later, pus will be discharged, leading to recovery.
This sore appears on the chest and bilateral hypochondriac regions. Initially, it causes pain, appearing clustered like millet grains, with redness and swelling of the skin and flesh, making scratching intolerable. There are four simple prescriptions that may cure it.
Prescription One: Grind Jing Mian Cao (Crassula Sarmentosa) into powder, mix with water, and apply.
Prescription Two: Grind Da Huang (Rhubarb Rhizome) into powder, mix with water, and apply.
Prescription Three: Crush Tian Luo (Apple Snail) and apply as a poultice.
Prescription Four: Grind Hai Jin Sha (Lygodium Spore) into powder, mix with clear oil, and apply.
If none of the above prescriptions are effective, internally administer Zhong Jiu Wan combined with Jin Gong Wan (Golden Centipede Pill) to resolve and eliminate heat toxicity. Apply Ma Liang Gao externally to stop pain. If the affected area has already suppurred, apply Ge Zhi Gao (Paper-Interleaved Plaster), followed by applying Jia Wei Tian Ran San (Modified Natural Powder) to promote tissue regeneration and level the wound surface.
