Dog Bite Injury
A vicious dog bite causes the skin to break and form a sore. Immediately wash the wound with Licorice Decoction (Gancao Tang) to remove the yellow toxic fluid. Then apply Zhenzhu San (True Hero Powder) topically; internal administration is also effective. If bitten by a mad dog, quickly strike the head to disperse the hair. If red hairs stand upright like steel needles within the scalp, pluck them out immediately. Next, wash the area with a decoction of Cortex Lycii (Digupi) to remove the yellow toxin; internal administration is equally effective. Another prescription: grind earthworm feces (Dilong Fen) into powder and seal it over the bite wound. Efficacy is indicated if dog hair is expelled from the mouth.

Rat Bite Sore
Bites from rats on the hands, feet, and flesh are difficult to heal. Why? Because rat teeth are fine and long, carrying toxic yellow fluids that can damage tendons and bones. It is advisable to use cat meat to wash away the toxicity and remove blood stasis. Subsequently, filling the bite wound with cat feces is considered optimal.

Horse Sweat Sore
Individuals suffering from sores who accidentally get exposed to the toxins in horse sweat and saliva while riding donkeys or horses may have the toxin enter the wound, causing swelling and pain. Immediately wash the area with a decoction of Winter Melon Peel (Dongguapi). Apply dry powder of winter melon peel topically for good effect. If winter melon peel is unavailable, wash with a decoction of Luffa Leaf (Siguye), then apply Zhibai San (Prepared Phellodendron Powder) for cure and efficacy.

Fire Burn Sore
Poor individuals and frail patients seeking warmth near fire sources may suffer prolonged heat exposure to the skin. The fire qi enters and forms sores, accompanied by sweating and pain. It is suitable to sprinkle a mixture of powders including Zhibai San (Prepared Phellodendron Powder) and Su Bohe (Perilla Mint) on the affected area for recovery.

Moxibustion Burn Sore
Therapeutic moxibustion using mugwort fire can cause blisters and sores on the skin. When pain flares up, applying Taiyi Gao (Great One Ointment) promotes self-healing. If Taiyi Gao is unavailable, applying seasonal items also leads to recovery: willow catkins in spring, bamboo membrane in summer, new cotton in autumn, and wall spider nests (Bi Qian) in winter. Application yields natural efficacy.

Sweat Maceration Sore
Obese individuals prone to excessive sweating who neglect bathing may have their skin macerated by sweat, leading to rotting sores with unbearable pain. Sprinkling the affected area with powder made from real clam shell (Zhen Ge Fen) and Talcum (Huashi) promotes self-healing.
