夫手太阳少阴之脉。下为月水。上为乳汁。妊娠之人。月水不通。初以养胎。既产。则
水血
治产后气血虚。津液少。令乳无汁。木通散方。
木通（二两锉）栝蒌根（一两）漏芦（一两）麦门冬（一两半去心焙）芦根（三

鼠肉（二两）羊肉〔二（三）两〕獐肉（四两）
上三味。为食之。勿令病患知。立效。

治产后乳汁不通。神效方。

葡萄根末（一分）莴苣子末（一分）
上件药。以水一大盏。
煎至七分。去滓。分二服。冬用根。秋夏用心叶。

王不留行土瓜根（以上各一两）
上件药。捣细罗为散。不计时候。以热酒调下二钱。
又方。
猪蹄（四只锉）葱白（一握切）木通（二两锉）
上件药。以水三大盏。煎取一盏半。去滓。分温四服。一日服尽。神效。
又方。
蛴螬（三枚研）
上以浆水一大盏。入葱白二七寸。
煎至八分。去葱。下蛴螬更煎三两沸。分温二服。
又方。
乌油麻（三合炒熟用汤研取汁）
上件药。不计时候。服一小盏。神效。
又方。
土瓜根（二两）
上捣细罗为散。不计时候。以热酒调下二钱。
又方。
石膏（四两细研）
上以水二大盏。
煎至一盏。去滓。分温三次服。
又方。
穿山甲（涂醋炙令黄色）
上捣罗为末。不计时候。以温酒调下一钱。服之。
又方。
上以葫芦根。捣罗为末。不计时候。以温酒调下二钱。

English

The meridians of Hand-Taiyang (Small Intestine) and Hand-Shaoyin (Heart) descend to transform into menstrual blood and ascend to transform into breast milk. During pregnancy, menstruation ceases, initially to nourish the fetus; after childbirth, Qi and Blood are deficient, and body fluids are scant, leading to a lack of or insufficient breast milk secretion.

**Mutong San Decoction** for treating postpartum breast milk obstruction due to deficiency of Qi and Blood and scantiness of body fluids:
* *Tongcao* (Akebiae Caulis, 2 liang, crushed)
* *Trichosanthis Radix* (Gualougen, 1 liang)
* *Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba* (Loulu, 1 liang)
* *Ophiopogonis Radix* (Maimendong, 1.5 liang, heart removed, baked)
* *Phragmitis Rhizoma* (Lugen, 0.3 liang, crushed)
* *Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma* (Renshen, 0.3 liang)

Crush the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhong of water and 5 cun of scallion white (Congbai). Decoct until only 0.5 zhong remains. Strain and take warm at any time.

**Gualou San Decoction** for treating postpartum breast milk obstruction:
* *Trichosanthis Radix* (Gualougen, 1 liang)
* *Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba* (Loulu, 1 liang)
* *Aurantii Fructus* (Zhike, 0.2 liang, bran-fried until slightly yellow, pith removed)
* *Paeoniae Radix Rubra* (Chishaoyao, 0.3 liang)
* *Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma* (Gancao, 0.3 liang, honey-fried until slightly red)

Crush the above ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhong of water. Decoct until only 0.6 zhong remains. Strain and take warm at any time.

**Another Prescription:**
* *Stalactitum* (Zhongru Fen, 1.5 liang)
* *Natrii Sulfas* (Xiaoshi, 0.3 liang)
* *Tongcao* (Akebiae Caulis, 2 liang, crushed)
* *Platycodonis Radix* (Jiegeng, 0.3 liang, radix part removed)

First, crush the last three ingredients into a coarse powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhong of water, 7 cun of scallion white, and 0.5 liang of fresh ginger. Decoct until only 0.6 zhong remains. Strain and take warm.

**Loulu San Decoction** for treating postpartum breast milk obstruction accompanied by chest and epigastric fullness:
* *Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba* (Loulu, 2 liang)
* *Tongcao* (Akebiae Caulis, 1.5 liang, crushed)
* *Polygoni Multiflori Radix* (Tuguagen, 2 liang)
* *Talcum* (Huashi, 1.5 liang)

Crush and sieve the above ingredients into a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhong of water and 5 cun of scallion white. Decoct until only 0.6 zhong remains. Strain and take warm at any time.

**Another Prescription:**
* *Trichosanthis Radix* (Gualougen, 1 liang)
* *Alismatis Rhizoma* (Zexie, 1 liang)
* *Ophiopogonis Radix* (Maimendong, 1 liang, heart removed)
* Scallion white (one handful)
* Pig trotters (4 pieces, hair removed, cut)
* *Tongcao* (Akebiae Caulis, 2 liang, crushed)

Add three zhong of water. Decoct until one and a half zhong remains. Strain. Divide into four doses and take at any time.

**Jiyu Jiu (Carassius Auratus in Wine)** for treating postpartum breast milk obstruction:
* Carassius auratus (one piece, 5 cun long, prepared for eating)
* Porcine fat (Erzhi, 2 liang)
* *Euphorbiae Humifusae Herba* (Loulu, 1 liang)
* *Stalactitum* (Zhongru Fen, 1 liang)

Add three zhong of wine. Boil until one and a half zhong remains. Strain. Divide into three doses and take at any time.

**Another Prescription:**
* Rat meat (2 liang)
* Mutton (3 liang)
* Gazelle meat (4 liang)

Cook the above three meats and eat them. Do not let the patient know what they are eating. The effect will be immediate.
