For those who experience emaciation and weakness after contracting cold damage disease, it is because their blood and qi were previously deficient, and they were subsequently attacked by deficient pathogens. After sweating, vomiting, or purging treatments, the meridians and collaterals are damaged. Although the heat pathogen has begun to dissipate, the true qi remains scarce, the five zang organs are still deficient, the stomach and spleen's transformation and transportation function have not recovered, and there is a lack of essence and fluids to nourish the body. Thus, emaciation and illness occur due to deficiency.
