Jie Xiong (Chest Binding Syndrome) is caused by the accumulation of heat-toxic qi in the chest and heart region. This condition typically arises when a disease initially presents in the Yang aspect (exterior syndrome), but purgative methods are applied prematurely. Consequently, heat qi enters through the deficiency, causing stagnation and binding that fails to dissipate.
