Wind-dizziness in women is caused by deficiency of the constitution leading to susceptibility to wind-pathogen, with wind entering the brain. The essence of all zang-fu organs ascends to irrigate the eyes; blood and qi, along with the meridians, ascend together to connect with the brain, following the meridians to the eye-system (the connection between the eyeball and the brain). Due to tension and spasm of the eye-system, dizziness occurs. If dizziness persists and the wind-pathogen is severe, it may transform into epilepsy (Dian Ji).
