The so-called "sores in the lower part due to seasonal pathogens" (Shiqi Xiabu Chuang) arises from toxic heat accumulating within the abdomen. When the Qi of grain and water is deficient while toxic vapors are excessive, the "Three Worms" (San Chong, referring to intestinal parasites such as roundworms, pinworms, and tapeworms) become active in search of food, eroding the Zang organs. This often leads to diarrhea and dysentery, subsequently damaging the internal organs and causing sores to develop in the lower body. It is appropriate to administer the Xionghuang San (Realgar Powder) formula.
Xionghuang (Realgar, 0.5 liang, finely ground) Qingxiangzi (Seed of Celosia, 3 liang) Kushen (Radix Sophorae Flavescentis, 3 liang, sliced) Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 3 liang, remove stamens, lightly stir-fried) Xingren (Seed of Prunus Armeniaca, 1.5 liang, soaked in hot water, remove skin and tips, discard double-kernel seeds, stir-fried with bran until slightly yellow).
Crush the above ingredients and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. For each dose, take 3 qian before meals, mixed with rice broth.
Another prescription:
Qingxiangzi (Seed of Celosia, 1 liang) Lu (Reed Rhizome, 1 liang) Yelangya (Herba Agrimoniae Pilosae, 3 fen) Chenjupi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 3 fen, soaked in hot water, remove white pith, dried) Bianzhu (Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, 3 fen, sliced).
Crush the above ingredients and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. For each dose, take 3 qian before meals, mixed with rice broth.
Prescription for treating pain caused by sores in the lower part due to seasonal pathogens:
Guixin (Cinnamon Twig, 1 or 2 liang) Lanye (Leaf of Isatis, 2 liang).
Crush the above ingredients and sieve them into a powder. Divide into three doses. Take half a jin (approx. 500g) of raw pig liver, remove the membrane, cut it finely, mix with the medicine powder, and consume together with five flavors (seasonings). Take one dose every morning. Parasites resembling hair should be expelled from the lower part; after expelling approximately one he (a traditional unit of volume), the condition will heal.
Prescription for treating dysentery with pus and blood due to seasonal pathogens, and sores with worms in the lower part:
Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 3 fen, remove stamens, lightly stir-fried) La (Beeswax, 1 liang) Wumei Rou (Flesh of Mume Fruit, 3 liang, lightly stir-fried).
Crush the above ingredients and sieve them into a powder. Melt the beeswax and mix with honey to form pills the size of sophora seeds. For each dose, take 30 pills before meals with rice broth, and repeat the dose in the evening.
Prescription for treating sores in the lower part due to seasonal pathogens:
Matihui (Ash of Horse Hoof, prepared by burning).
Crush the ash and sieve it into a powder. Mix with lard (pig fat) and apply topically to the affected area. Apply 5-6 times daily until healed.
Prescription for treating persistent pain in sores in the lower part due to seasonal pathogens:
Decoect peach bark (Tao Pi) thickly to extract the juice, then boil it down until it resembles a thick syrup. Introduce this liquid into the lower part via a conduit. If sores occur in the mouth, hold the liquid in the mouth to cure them.
