Black spots appearing before the eyes are all caused by disorders of the Zang-Fu organs. This occurs because Yang Qi is deficient and Yin Qi proliferates competitively. When a person's Yin and Yang are harmonious, Essence and Qi flow upward to the eyes, thus (maintaining normal vision).
For treating black spots appearing in the eyes, or when dim vision progresses to Qing Mang (severe visual impairment or blindness), it is appropriate to administer Lingyang Jiao San (Antelope Horn Powder).
