The accumulation in the Spleen is named Pi Qi (Pity Qi, a type of abdominal mass). It is located at the epigastrium (stomach region), covering an area as large as an inverted cup. If not cured for a long time, it causes the limbs to become weak and unable to support themselves, leads to jaundice (Huang Dan), and prevents food from transforming into muscle and skin nourishment.
To treat Pi Qi, where the accumulation is in the epigastrium, causing fullness and obstruction in the heart and abdomen, and inability to eat, it is suitable to take He Li Le San (Terminalia Chebula Powder).
He Li Le Pi (Chebulae Fructus Pericarpium, 1 liang) Bie Jia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 1.5 liang, coated with vinegar, roasted until yellow, remove the skirt edge) Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 1 liang) Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix, 3 fen, remove the rhizome head) Gui Xin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex) Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, roasted until slightly yellow)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian, boiled with one zhong of water and half a fen of Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), decocted to six parts, filtered, and taken warm before meals.
To treat Pi Qi, characterized by hardness and distension in the heart and abdomen, and inability to ingest food or drink, it is suitable to take Bing Lang San (Arecae Semen Powder).
Bing Lang (Arecae Semen, 1 liang) Qian Niu Zi (Pharbitidis Semen, 1 liang) Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 0.5 liang) Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 3 fen) Chen Ju Pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 0.5 liang, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried)
The above herbs are crushed, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian, boiled with one zhong of water, decocted to six parts, filtered, and taken warm before meals.
To treat Pi Qi, where the accumulation is in the epigastrium, firmly fixed and immobile, with gradually decreasing food intake and weakness in the limbs, it is suitable to take Bie Jia San (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum Powder).
Bie Jia (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 1.5 liang, coated with vinegar, roasted until yellow, remove the skirt edge) Chuan Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 1.5 liang, chopped and slightly stir-fried) Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 1 liang) Yu Li Ren (Pruni Semen, 1 liang, soaked in water, skin removed, slightly stir-fried) Jing San Leng (Sparganii Rhizoma, 1 liang, processed until cracked) Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1 liang) Bing Lang (Arecae Semen, 1 liang) Cao Dou Kou (Alpiniae Katsumadai Semen, 3 fen, remove shell) Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus, 3 liang, bran-roasted)
