Take one *Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans* (Golden-headed Centipede), bake it until the medicinal properties are preserved, grind into powder, and blow it into the wound.

Place human hair in a clay pot, seal tightly with salt mud, calcine until carbonized, and grind into fine powder. Quickly dip the injured ear or nose into the medicine to reset it, then chew old ginger thoroughly and apply a thick layer around the area. Bind firmly with silk cloth; it will heal on its own.

Take one egg, drill a small hole, remove the yolk keeping only the white, insert one raw *Pinellia ternata* (Banxia), and bake gently over low heat. Consume the egg white.

Use the inner membrane of the egg white to cover the tongue. Take 3 liang of *Polygonatum odoratum* (Tianhuafen), 2 liang of *Paeonia lactiflora* (Chishao), and 1 liang each of *Curcuma longa* (Jianghuang) and *Angelica dahurica* (Baizhi). Grind into powder, mix with honey, and apply to the root of the tongue. Mix white beeswax with white honey (adjusting consistency as appropriate) and apply over the egg membrane. Apply several times a day. The tongue will reconnect naturally after three days. Remove the egg membrane, then frequently apply honey-wax mixture for seven days until fully healed.

Dip an ostrich feather quill in rice vinegar and frequently brush the severed area to stop bleeding. Alternatively, apply slices of lean pork. Also take some *Polygonum multiflorum* (Puhuang), *Prunus armeniaca* (Xingren), and *Borax* (Pengsha), grind into powder, mix with honey to form a paste, and apply to fuse the wound.

Grind *Aconitum carmichaelii* (Chuanwu) and *Aconitum kusnezoffii* (Caowu) into powder, spread on paper, mix with cool water, and apply as a patch.

Take three *Scarabaeus sacer* (Qiángláng/Dung beetle) and five seeds of *Croton tiglium* (Badou). Pound together and apply. Alternatively, pound dried *Amaranthus tricolor* (Xiancai) and apply.

Another prescription: Pound *Blattella chinensis* (Saojiazǐ/Roach) and apply. The foreign body will be expelled within one day. Alternatively, crush pumpkin (called Wogua in the North) until soft and apply around the area.

Even if the condition has persisted for years with rotting tissue and no expulsion, it will heal after three treatments.

White ginkgo nuts (preferably triangular ones, shell and core removed, quantity不拘/unrestricted), soak in rapeseed oil.

Grind hawthorn (*Crataegus pinnatifida*) into powder and apply. If the foreign body is in the mouth or between teeth, decoct a concentrated liquid and hold in the mouth for one to two hours; the object will come out naturally.

True Sichuan pepper (*Zanthoxylum bungeanum*) powder, mixed with raw egg white and applied. Wrap tightly with cloth overnight, and the object will be expelled.

Pound scallion whites (Congbai) with white sugar and apply.

Apply Ming Xionghuang (Real Realgar) powder. Healing occurs when fluid flows out.

For objects difficult to extract:
Apply rice sugar. When itching begins, tie the patient to a pillar and pull forcefully to extract the object.

First, pound scallion whites (Congbai), stir-fry until hot, and rub all over the painful area. Then apply a paste made from raw *Rheum palmatum* (Dashuang) powder and ginger juice. Cover with coarse paper. Drink good liquor abundantly throughout the day and night. It heals in three days, and is also effective for long-standing cases. This method also treats internal injuries from sprains and falls, and injuries from carrying heavy loads on the shoulder.
