There is a hole on the chest, from which blood and fluid often flow out; this is called Heart Fistula (Xin Lou). Use Prepared Aconite Root (Pao Fuzi, 附子), prepared by frying, removing skin and umbilicus; Deer Antler Velvet (Lurong, 鹿茸), prepared by removing hair and frying with butter until slightly yellow; and Salt Flower (Yanhua, 盐花). Grind these three ingredients into powder in equal proportions, and form pills using jujube flesh. Take thirty pills each time, swallowed with wine on an empty stomach.
(From *Jiyan Mifang*, this prescription also treats lower back pain)
The joints of the ten fingers are broken and destroyed, connected only by sinews without joints. Flesh worms emerge like rush pith, several inches long, and green curly hair grows all over the body; this is named "Blood Remainder" (Xue Yu, 血余).
Decoct Poria (Fuling, 茯苓) and Picrorhiza Rhizome (Huhuanglian, 胡黄连) to make a decoction for drinking; this will lead to recovery. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
In cases where the white part of the eye becomes turbid and black, yet vision remains normal, and the hair stands stiffly upright like iron rods, while the patient can eat but cannot speak, appearing intoxicated; this is named "Blood Collapse" (Xue Kui, 血溃).
Grind Five-tipped Star Fruit Resin (Wulingzhi, 五灵脂) into powder, take two qian with warm water; recovery will be immediate. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
Suddenly, flesh protuberances like awls appear all over the body, causing both itching and pain, making eating impossible; this is named "Blood Stagnation" (Xue Yong, 血壅). If not treated promptly, it will inevitably ulcerate and discharge pus and blood. Burn Red-barked Scallion (Chipicong, 赤皮葱) to ash, wash the area with the leachate, and drink several cups of Fermented Soybean Decoction (Chitang, 豉汤); peace will return naturally. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
When foul-smelling fluid flows from the mouth and nose, and when collected in a bowl, it resembles shrimp or fish jumping; upon capture, it turns into water. This indicates muscle decay. Consuming large amounts of chicken meat (specifically white rooster) will lead to recovery. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
Red eyes, swollen nose, severe panting, and macules appearing all over the body, with hair becoming hard as iron, are caused by heat-toxic qi and vapor accumulating in the Lower Jiao (Xià Jiāo, 下焦). Use Talcum (Huashi, 滑石) and Alum (Baifan, 白矾), one liang each, ground into powder, taken as a single dose. Decoct in three bowls of water until reduced by half, and drink continuously; comfort returns after finishing the dose. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
The rectum protrudes more than one cun, causing unbearable pain; if it dries, it falls off spontaneously, but re-protrudes after falling. This is named "Rectal Amputation Disease" (Jiechang Bing, 截肠病). If the entire intestine protrudes, it is incurable. However, at the initial stage of protrusion, sit and soak in a vessel containing lard and sesame oil, and drink several sheng of Hemp Seed Juice (Damaizi Zhi, 大麻子汁); self-recovery will occur. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
Before sleep, lice emerge all over the body, amounting to approximately five sheng, followed by the destruction of flesh and blood. The condition worsens nightly, with indescribable pain and itching. The patient drinks only water, lies in bed, wails day and night, suffers continuous bleeding from the tip of the tongue, has blackened body and teeth, trembling lips, and open nostrils. Drinking salt-vinegar soup for ten days will stabilize the condition. (From *Xia Ziyi Qiji Fang*)
