服三剂即愈
川椒（去目炒出汗）一钱五分 铜青一钱 硼砂一钱
共为细末，搽患处立愈。

青黛 黄柏 枯矾 五倍子（炒）
各等分为末（先用米泔水漱过，以药搽之即愈）。
又方
大红枣去核填人中白满，绵缠，火内烧焦为末，入麝二厘，搽之立愈。
人龙瓦上焙干，研极细加青黛、冰片各少许，共研匀吹入即愈。
又方
用人中白乳 三次为末，入冰片少许吹之。
又方
人中白（ 红）二两 儿茶一两 黄柏 南薄荷 真青黛各六钱 冰片五分
研极细。先用温汤漱洗，吹药患上，每六、七次。
内服 银柴胡 芦荟（炒） 川连 牛蒡子 玄参 桔梗 薄荷 羚羊角
以上各五分，水二盅煎一盅服。
**Basic Formula Composition:** Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) 8 qian, Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba) 1 qian, Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) 1 qian, Danpi (Moutan Cortex) 1 qian, Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix) 2 qian, Qingpi (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus Pericarpium) 6 fen, Shengdi (Rehmanniae Radix) 5 fen.
**Modifications based on the specific location of toothache:**
If the pain is in the four central upper incisors: Add Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), stir-fried, 8 qian; Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 2 qian.
If the pain is in the four central lower incisors: Add Zhimu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma) 1 qian; Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), stir-fried, 1 qian.
If the pain is in the upper lateral teeth: Add Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) 8 fen; Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) 1.2 qian.
If the pain is in the lower lateral teeth: Add Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) 8 fen; Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) 1.2 qian.
If the pain is in the upper left teeth: Add Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) 1 qian; Danshen (not Danshen, but Longdancao/Gentianae Radix here referred to as Danshen/Dancao contextually Gentianae Radix) 1.2 qian. *Note: "Dancao" usually refers to Gentianae Radix (Longdancao).* -> Add Longdancao (Gentianae Radix) 1.2 qian.
If the pain is in the lower left teeth: Add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) 1 qian; Heishanzhiren (Gardeniae Semen) 1 qian.
If the pain is in the upper right teeth: Add Shudahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, prepared) 1 qian; Zhike (Aurantii Fructus), stir-fried, 1 qian.
If the pain is in the lower right teeth: Add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), stir-fried, 1 qian; Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) 1 qian.
Take three doses for recovery.
**External Application Method 1:** Use Chuandahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) burned to ash, ground into fine powder, and applied to the teeth. This prevents toothache permanently (apply morning and evening).
**External Application Method 2:** Decoct Shanmupi (Cupressi Lignum) and use the decoction to rinse the mouth; this leads to recovery.
**Another Prescription:**
Use Haipiaoxiao (Sepiae Endochroma) ground into powder and applied to the affected area; this also leads to recovery.
**Another Formula:**
Chuanjiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium), remove eyes and stir-fry until sweat appears, 1.5 qian; Tongqing (Chrysocollae Silicea) 1 qian; Pengsha (Borax) 1 qian.
Grind all into fine powder and apply to the affected area for immediate recovery.
**Another Formula:**
Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Kufan (Alumen Exsiccatum), Wubeizi (Gallae Chinensis), stir-fried.
Grind equal parts into powder. First rinse with rice water (Mitanshui), then apply the medicine to the affected area for recovery.
**Another Formula:**
Remove the pits from large red dates (Dazao), fill them completely with Renzhongbai (Urinae Humanis Deposition), tie tightly with cotton thread, burn in fire until charred, grind into powder. Add Shexiang (Moschus) 2 li. Apply to the affected area for immediate recovery.
**Another Method:**
Collect Renzhongbai (Urinae Humanis Deposition) dried from tiles, grind into extremely fine powder. Add a small amount of Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) and Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum). Grind uniformly and insufflate into the affected area for recovery.
**Another Formula:**
Process Renzhongbai (Urinae Humanis Deposition) by drying with milk three times, then grind into powder. Add a small amount of Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) and insufflate.
**Another Formula:**
Renhongzhongbai (Red Urinae Humanis Deposition) 2 liang, Ercha (Terminaliae Chebulae Fructus Extract) 1 liang, Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), Nanbohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Zhenqingdai (True Indigo Naturalis) each 6 qian, Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum) 5 fen.
Grind into extremely fine powder. First rinse the mouth with warm water, then insufflate the medicine onto the affected area, six or seven times daily.
**Internal Administration Formula:**
Yinchaihu (Cistanches Herba? No, Yin Chai Hu is Cistanches, but often used for deficiency heat. Here likely Cistanches Herba), Lvhui (Aloe), Chuanlian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu).
Each herb 5 fen. Decoct with two zhong of water until one zhong remains, and take orally.
