Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 6 qian), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Paeviae Rubra Radix (Chishao), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudi), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu), Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhu), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpu), Foeniculi Fructus (Xiaohui), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenpi), Curcumae Zedoariae Rhizoma (Ezhu), Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Niuxi) (each 2 qian), Sparganii Rhizoma (Sanleng) (take 2 qian first, then use less), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 5 fen), Carthami Flos (Honghua, 1 qian). Divide the herbs into eight doses. Add a small amount of fresh ginger, decoct with water, and take on an empty stomach. If nausea or vomiting occurs, add Amomi Fructus Rotundus (Sharen, 1.5 qian) and Alpiniae Officinarum Rhizoma (Liangjiang, 1.5 qian); if diarrhea occurs, add Myristicae Semen (Doukou) and Papaveris Pericarpium (Suhua) (each 3 qian); if there is pain throughout the body, add Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo) and Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duhuo) (each 2 qian); if there is cough and shortness of breath, add Armeniacae Semen (Xingren), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), and Perillae Folium (Suye) (each 1 qian).
For women aged thirty-four or thirty-five, both blood-qi and the spleen-stomach are deficient. Or, during menstruation, if one sits or lies exposed to wind without avoidance, deficiency pathogens enter the body, and wind invades the meridians, causing numbness throughout the body, cough with phlegm. Use Jianwei Wuji Jiajiao San (Modified Five Accumulations Mixed Powder) combined with Bajia Tang (Eight Substances Decoction) for treatment.
Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo, 5 fen), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Angelicae Pubescentis Radix (Duhuo, 2 qian), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex (Nongpu), Atractylodis Rhizoma (Cangzhu), Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhiqiao), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium (Chenhu), Pinelliae Rhizoma Preparatum (Banxia), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu), Platycodonis Radix (Jiegeng), Poria (Fuling) (each 2 qian), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guizhi), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (each 5 fen). Divide into four doses. Add fresh ginger (three slices) and scallion white with roots (five stalks), take hot on an empty stomach. If the patient cannot move, remove Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu) and add Bombyx Batryticatus (Jiangcan) and Mume Fructus (Wumei) (each 5 fen). Decoct with wine. If coughing occurs, add Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi) and Armeniacae Semen (Xingren) (each 3 qian).
For women aged thirty-six or thirty-seven, if menstrual flow is excessive, this is due to extreme deficiency of blood-qi and insufficient stomach qi, causing blood to move recklessly. It is appropriate to tonify and regulate blood-qi, nourish the spleen and stomach, so that in old age, metrorrhagia (blood collapse) can be avoided.
Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Renshen), Poria (Fuling), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudi), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishao), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu) (each 3 qian), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) (each 4 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 1 qian). Divide into four doses. Decoct with ginger water and take. If abdominal pain occurs, add Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhu, 3 qian); if tidal fever occurs, add Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin) and Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu) (each 3 qian).
For women aged thirty-eight or thirty-nine, if menstruation ceases, there are masses in the abdomen accompanied by pain, dizziness, blurred vision, and loss of appetite. This is due to deficiency of blood-qi and retention of evil blood (stasis). Urgently disperse the stasis and warm-regulate the blood vessels to eliminate subsequent complications.
