[Da] In women, the condition of blood-wind vexation and stuffiness arises from labor and injury to the fu and zang organs. Deficiency of blood and qi allows wind pathogens to enter, clashing with the blood vessels. This obstructs the flow of qi, causing palpitations and astringency, which generates heat. Symptoms include vexing pain in the limbs and joints, dry mouth, and reduced sleep. All these result from weakness leading to stagnation of blood and qi, thus causing vexation and stuffiness.
[Xue] The aforementioned syndromes mostly belong to fever caused by deficiency of liver and spleen blood. Treatment should refer to the formulas and discussions on chills and fever presented earlier.
