Hei Fuzi (Black Prepared Aconite Root), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig), Baijiang (White Ginger) (each 0.5 liang), Badou (Croton Seed) (1 qian, soaked in vinegar, boiled, skin removed, ground).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix in the ground Croton Seed, boil with vinegar, and form pills using wheat paste, sized like hemp seeds. Take three to five pills each time, administered with cold tea. The dosage is adjusted until bowel movement occurs.
Immediately after childbirth, taking this formula can purge "Erzhen" (postpartum uterine blood stasis/lochia retention) and eliminate myriad ailments.
Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Muxiang (Aucklandia Root), Huangqin (Scutellaria Root), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Rhizome), Gancao (Licorice Root), Fuling (Poria), Shaoyao (Peony Root), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig), Zhimu (Anemarrhena Rhizome), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root), Caodoukou (Cardamom Fruit), Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome), Hezi (Chebula Fruit), Liangjiang (Galangal Rhizome), Qingpi (Citrus Peel), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root) (a small amount), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) (one piece weighing 0.5 liang).
Except for Shudihuang and Fuzi, take equal parts of the other herbs and bake them dry. Take one jin (approx. 500g) of fresh ginger, grind it to extract natural juice, place the juice in a bowl, let it stand for a long time, pour off the clear liquid, and collect the sediment at the bottom. Spread this sediment on bamboo leaves and bake it dry in an oven. Crush and sieve into a powder. Immediately after childbirth, take 3 qian of this powder, add one cup of water, three slices of ginger, and one jujube. Decoct until reduced to 70% volume, and take warm. After administration, the mother will naturally fall asleep. Half a day later, upon waking, take another dose to completely relieve abdominal pain. Take only three times daily; do not continue beyond the ninth day to avoid causing coldness in the abdomen.
To treat various postpartum diseases. Begin brewing one month before delivery; it can be taken after childbirth is completed.
Dihuang juice (Rehmannia Juice), good yeast starter (Jiuqu), good clean Sorghum grain (Shumi) (each 2 sheng).
First, soak the yeast starter in Dihuang juice to initiate fermentation, brew according to family methods until ripe. Seal and ferment for seven days, then take the clarified liquid to drink. Maintain a continuous presence of alcohol aroma without interruption. Avoid garlic, raw/cold foods, slippery/greasy foods, chicken, pork, and all toxic substances. Women of all types may take this, but it should not be brewed during the three summer months; spring and autumn are suitable. Mix the Dihuang juice and dregs with the rice for brewing and drinking. This serves as the standard ratio. If making one shuo, ten shuo follows the same principle, based on one sheng. It is advisable to first take Danggui Tang, followed by this formula for optimal effect.
