Academician Xu stated: The symptom of Stomach Heat is heat in the palms and soles. During the Zhenghe era, a clansman suffered from Shanghan (Cold Damage). After sweating, his body became cool. Several days later, he suddenly vomited, unable to keep down medicine or food. Physicians administered drugs such as Dingxiang, Huoxiang, and Huashi (Talcum), but they were vomited immediately upon swallowing. I said: This is exactly residual heat remaining in the epigastrium after sweating; Sun Zhao's Zhuru Tang is precisely indicated. I prepared the medicine for him, and he recovered immediately.
Huaihua San (Sophorae Flavescentis Flos Powder) from *Liangfang* is also a similar formula.
Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Sinensis Spina) Baifan (Alumen) Huaihua (Sophorae Flavescentis Flos, stir-fried until yellow-black) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) [equal parts]

Pound the Banxia into a powder. Mix with water and knead the flour into pills the size of bullets. Boil in water until the dough is cooked, indicating the medicine is ready. Initially swallow 4-5 pills, twice daily. Gradually increase to 14-15 pills. Cook and take freshly. Upon taking this medicine, if the illness feels alleviated; if it recurs heavily, taking it again is also good. Avoid mutton and maltose. Same as *Jiuji Fang*.
Furthermore, regarding the previous Banxia Wan (Pinellia Pill), although gradual improvement is felt, the root of the disease is not eliminated. If one wishes to prepare more of the previous pill, there is concern that the medicinal toxicity cannot be taken for a long time; if one does not take it, there is fear that the disease will spread. It is suitable to take Renshen Qiwei Wan (Ginseng Seven-Ingredient Pill).
