One should use Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill) supplemented with Lurong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum). If it is due to incomplete essence and qi, yet engaging in sexual intercourse prematurely, it often leads to dizziness and vertigo, thirst with expectoration, fever, soreness and weakness of the waist and legs, spontaneous or night sweating, painful and difficult urination and defecation, and various other ailments that are hard to describe. I have used Bawei Wan (Eight-Ingredient Pill) or Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill), as well as Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction), with modifications, as detailed in the Tonification Formulas section, all of which have been effective.
A five-year-old child who could not speak was considered useless by many. However, his body was thin and flaccid, indicating insufficiency of Lung and Kidney Qi. Therefore, Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill) was used, added with Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae) and Lurong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum), along with Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) added with Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae). After more than two months, his physique and vitality gradually improved. By nearly half a year, he could utter one or two syllables. By about a year old, his voice became clear and loud.
Discussion on tortoise chest (Guixiong): This is caused by Lung Heat (Lung heat) leading to distension and fullness, attacking the chest and diaphragm, resulting in tortoise chest. It is also said that this arises from the wet nurse consuming wheat products, hot-natured foods, and the "Five Pungents" (five pungent spices), causing the chest to protrude high.

Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Form pills using refined honey, sized like mung beans. Take five pills per dose, dissolved in warm water, taken after meals before bedtime. Moxibustion is also recommended on six points located one and a half cun anterior to both ears, in the gaps between the three bones of the upper two rows. Moxa cones (zhuang) should be applied three times at each point. In spring and summer, start moxibustion from the lower points upwards; in autumn and winter, start from the upper points downwards. Follow this method for application.
