The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* (Prescriptions for Nourishing Life and Guiding and Pulling Methods) states: Cross both hands at the top of the head, exhale deeply and release the air. Sit on the ground and slowly extend both legs. Embrace the middle of the knees with both hands from the outside. Quickly lower the head until it enters between the two knees. Perform this hand-crossing movement above the head thirteen times to cure the Three Corpses (San Shi, three malevolent entities residing in the human body).
It further states: Clench the teeth fourteen times, then swallow the breath fourteen times. Continue until three hundred repetitions are completed. Practicing for twenty days will eliminate all pathogenic factors; minor illnesses will be cured after sixty days; major illnesses will be eradicated after one hundred days; the Three Corpses and hidden pathogens (Fu Shi) will all depart, and the body and complexion will become lustrous.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Place the left foot upon the right foot to eliminate accumulations under the heart.
It further states: For treating accumulations under the heart, sit upright with the waist straightened. Face the sun and tilt the head backward. Inhale through the mouth and swallow the air顺势 (following the flow) thirty times, then stop. Open the eyes.
It further states: Lie on the left side, extend the arms, and straighten the legs. Inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose. Repeat this process repeatedly to eliminate pi-ying (stiffness and hardness under the heart) and accumulations.
It further states: Press the right hypochondrium with the left hand, and fully extend the limbs with the right hand. This eliminates accumulations and old blood stasis.
It further states: Close the mouth and breathe lightly. Sit upright, face the direction of the "King's Qi" (auspicious wind), open the nostrils to inhale, and direct the qi down to below the umbilicus. Exhale slightly through the mouth twelve times to resolve knotting and aggregation. Lower the head and maintain breathing (or hold the breath) twelve times to digest food and make the body light and strong. Practicing this in winter prevents cold sensation.
It further states: Sit upright with the waist straightened upward, spread both arms, and turn the palms upward. Inhale through the nose and hold the breath until the limit for seven breaths. This method is named "Shu Wang Qiao" (Duke Shu's Qiao) and eliminates accumulations under the hypochondrium.
It further states: In the early morning, remove the pillow and lie supine. Extend the arms and shins, close the eyes, keep the mouth closed, and hold the breath. Vigorously expand the abdomen, then perform two breaths with the feet. Shortly thereafter, contract the abdomen, raise both feet, and clench the fists tightly. Allow oneself to return to slight, calm breathing. Then adjust the number of repetitions according to the season: three in spring, five in summer, seven in autumn, and nine in winter. This purges the Five Zang organs and moistens the Six Fu organs with fluids, curing all diseases. For those with abdominal accumulations, expand the abdomen while inhaling; stop when heat is felt. The mass (Jia) will scatter and break, leading to recovery.
The *Yangsheng Fang Daoyin Fa* states: Lie on either side holding the breath for twelve cycles to treat persistent Phlegm-Fluids (Tan Yin). If there is fluid pathology on the right, lie on the right side; if on the left, lie on the left side. Additionally, for stagnant Qi that does not dissipate, guide it to the left and right sides respectively, performing twelve breaths for each, to treat Phlegm-Fluids.
