The above prescriptions are taken with mercury, adding a small amount of raw silver, which is more effective than Zixue (Purple Snow).
Qianjin Fang (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) prescription for treating dan eruptions in children.

(Lanqing San in Shenghui Fang has the same ingredients but different dosages.)

These thirteen ingredients are cut, boiled in twelve dou of water until four sheng remain. Strain the dregs, add Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), and apply the warm liquid using cotton cloth to the affected area. Replace when dry or cool, until healed.
Qianjin Fang prescription for treating pediatric dan eruptions.
Crush a handful of Machixian (Portulacae Herba), extract the juice for drinking, and apply the residue topically. (Shenghui Fang suggests squeezing the juice for application.)

Crush five he of Chixiaodou (Vigna Angularis Seed), mix with water to extract the juice, drink one he for good effect, and apply the residue to the five centers (palms and soles).

Cut these nine ingredients, boil in fourteen dou of water until seven sheng remain. Strain, add Rehmanniae Radix Juice, boil three times. Soak double-layered old cloth in the decoction and apply to the dan eruption. Replace when slightly warm, keeping it constantly warm.
Qianjin Yi Fang Zelang Tang (Lycopus Decoction) primarily for dan rash entering the abdomen causing death.

These seven ingredients are cut, boiled in three sheng of water until one and a half sheng remain. Divide into four doses. After taking this decoction, wash with other decoctions.
Qianjin Yi Fang [Name missing] Tang primarily for initial fever and spreading of dan eruptions and carbuncles, also for pediatric dan spreading. Avoid contact with genitals.

Boil these eight ingredients in ten dou of water until five sheng remain. Strain, return to the pot, add three liang of Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), boil once on fire. Apply cloth soaked in the decoction to the swollen area multiple times; swelling and heat will subside immediately.
Waitai Mi Yao Liu Shi's prescription for treating pediatric oily dan with redness and swelling.
Use three large liang of Gualou (Trichosanthis Fructus), crush with strong vinegar, and apply; this is excellent.
Waitai Mi Yao Liu Shi's another prescription
Mix Qiaomai Mian (Fagopyri Esculenti Semen Farina) with vinegar and apply; this cures.
Waitai Mi Yao: Jiuj Fang treats pediatric red dan, also known as Danliu.
Take Xiaodou (Vigna Angularis Seed), grind into powder, mix with Jidan Bai (Ovi Albumen) and apply. Stop when healed. First puncture the top of the dan eruption with a needle, then apply. (Qianjin Fang also treats Huodan/Fire Dan.)
Waitai Mi Yao: Gujin Lu Yan treats neonatal dan eruption.

Cut these nine ingredients, boil in one sheng two he of water until eight he remain. Add four he of Zhuli (Bamboo Juice), boil until half remains. Strain, divide into two doses; this is very effective.
Waitai Mi Yao: Gujin Lu Yan another prescription
Crush Lan Zhi (Indigo Juice) and apply.
Waitai Mi Yao: Guangji Fang treats pediatric dan eruptions.
Qinglan Zhi (Indigo Juice, 5 he) Zhuli (Bamboo Juice, 7 he)
Mix these two ingredients, divide into two or three doses. Adjust according to age: one he to three he per dose.
Jianyao Jizhong Fang treats pediatric dan eruption starting from the umbilicus.
Fulonggan (Furnace Earth, yellow earth from deep furnace of the current year, ground to powder)
Mix with Woulou Shui (water dripping from eaves) to form a paste, apply to the affected area. Reapply when dry, stop when healed. Mixing with fresh well water is also acceptable.
Xiuzhen Mizhi treats pediatric Danliu.
Take five Bimazi (Ricini Semen), remove skins, grind with flour, mix with one spoonful of water, and apply; this is very effective.
Chen Cangqi treats pediatric dan eruptions.
Drink one he of Cuitie Shui (water from quenching iron), which is the water from the hard iron slag when striking iron tools.
Chen Cangqi treats pediatric dan eruptions with chills and fever, and internal heat accumulation.
Crush Jixuecao (Centellae Herba), squeeze out juice and drink. (Eastern people call it Lianqiancao, leaves round like coins, vines grow by streams and damp places.)

Crush Xuanhua Gen and shoots, squeeze out juice and drink. (Commonly called Guzihua Zi.)
Zimu Milu treats pediatric dan eruption with irritability.
Take one jin of Liuye (Salix Tomentosa Leaf), boil in one dou of water until three sheng remain. Strain, wash the red areas, seven or eight times daily.

Yao Hezhong treats pediatric toxic sores breaking open with yellow discharge.
Charred Jiao Chi (Fermented Soybean) until smoke ceases, grind to fine powder, mix with oil and apply.
Shenghui Fang Shengma San (Cimicifuga Powder) for all pediatric dan eruptions with whole-body high fever, irritability, and thirst.

Pound these medicines, sift coarsely into powder. Take one qian per dose, boil in a small cup of water until half remains. Strain, let cool to warm temperature, take at any time. Reduce dose according to child's size.
