*Yangsheng Biyong* treats Tu Hui Dan (a form of erysipelas caused by venomous snake or insect bites), characterized by red threads appearing on both index fingers, winding downward to the joints, which can be fatal. This is a prescription for treating malignant sores and insect bites.
Large red-footed centipede (2 pieces), Bai Fan (Alumen), Dan Fan (Chalcanthite) (1 qian each), She Xiang (Musk) (0.5 qian).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. For each application, take an amount equivalent to a spoon used for cleaning ears. First, puncture the sore with a needle, place the medicine inside, and secure it with a paper flower made of flour mixed with vinegar. Change once daily. Once healthy tissue grows and pus, blood, and necrotic tissue are completely removed, apply a plaster.
*Jiyan Fang* treats children's eyes that suddenly become red and swollen with pterygium (corneal opacity), even up to ten or more opacities, known as Yan Dan (Eye Erysipelas). If treatment is delayed, vision will inevitably be damaged.
Have the patient lie supine. Wrap the blade of scissors with red thread and place the scissors over the affected eye. Have three elderly women of different surnames each hold one Ai Zhu (moxa cone) and perform moxibustion on the scissors. Simultaneously, chant: "Do not moxa the patient, only moxa the Eye Erysipelas." Repeat this three times. After the smoke ceases, discard the scissors on a path behind the house where no one walks, and retrieve them after one night. The effect is miraculous.
*Chao Shi Bing Yuan* describes the condition of Xiao Er Wu Se Dan (Pediatric Five-Color Erysipelas): When Five-Color Erysipelas erupts, its appearance changes unpredictably, presenting in colors such as green, yellow, white, black, or red. This is caused by heat from wind-toxin, which fluctuates in intensity, sometimes cold and sometimes hot, thus manifesting as Five-Color Erysipelas.
