(Jaw Joint Dislocation)
*Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold): Formula for treating jaw joint dislocation caused by yawning, where the joint cannot close.
Method: Have one person use their fingers to pull the patient's chin and gradually push it back into place; it will then re-enter. After pushing it in, withdraw the finger immediately to avoid accidentally injuring the teeth or the finger.
*Qianjin Fang*: Formula for jaw joint dislocation caused by yawning.
Method: Mix melted wax with water and apply as a poultice to the affected area.
*Qianjin Yi Fang* (Supplement to Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold): Formula for treating acute jaw stiffness, facial distortion with mouth and eyes pulling towards each other, and inability to move the tongue.
Oyster Shell (calcined), Longtan Earth (Fulonggan), Aconite Root (processed, peeled), Alum (burned).
Take equal parts of the above four herbs, grind them into fine powder. Mix with white wine to form a paste, apply to the affected area, replace when dry, continue until healed.
*Moxibustion Method from Qianjin Fang*: For jaw joint dislocation caused by yawning, moxa is applied to the fifth thoracic vertebra on the back, seven moxa cones per session, twice daily, for three days. If not cured, apply two hundred moxa cones to the Qichong (Stomach 30) acupoint, located in the middle of the bone below the throat on the chest, also known as Qitang.
*Qianjin Fang* further records moxibustion at the depression three cun above the medial malleolus, or at three cun five fen, one hundred moxa cones, repeated three times. This is the Sanyinjiao (Spleen 6) acupoint.
(All Types of Erysipelas/Dan Du) (Thirty-eight Categories)
*Zhubing Yuanhou Lun* (Source Book of All Diseases and Symptoms) - Pediatric Dan Syndrome: Wind-heat toxic pathogens lodge in the couli (interstices). Heat-toxin clashes with blood and qi, steaming outward. The skin becomes hot and red, resembling the color of cinnabar, hence named "Dan". If prolonged without cure, muscles rot and are damaged. (*Taiping Shenghui Fang* states: If prolonged without cure, muscles necrose; if toxic pathogens enter the abdomen, it causes death.)
Tuhui Dan (Earth Snake Dan): Starts in both hands' fingers, presenting as red threads that meander down to the joints, causing death. (For Dan types without listed formulas below, consult the "All Dan" category.)
Yan Dan (Eye Dan): Sudden redness and swelling of the eyes, formation of pterygium/opacities, up to ten or more opacities.
Wuse Dan (Five-Color Dan): Color changes unpredictably upon onset, appearing green, yellow, white, black, or red.
Zhuyu Dan (Euodia Dan): Begins on the back, spreading over the body like fine tie-dye patterns.
Chi Dan (Red Dan): Purely red Dan.
Bai Dan (White Dan): Initially itchy and painful, slightly swollen and flaccid, resembling blown milk foam, painless, non-red, but white.
Hei Dan (Black Dan): Initially itchy and painful, or swollen and raised, appearing slightly black.
Yanghuo Dan (Calamity Fire Dan): Appears on both hypochondria and upper arms/axillae.
Shenhuo Dan (Divine Fire Dan): Appears on both upper arms, turning dark red/black within a day.
Yehuodan (Wild Fire Dan): Presents as red spots like plums, covering the back and abdomen.
Guhuodan (Bone Fire Dan): Begins on the arm, bright red approaching black.
Jiahuodan (Household Fire Dan): Begins in both axillae and upper arms.
Huodan (Fire Dan): Often resembles Taiyang disease (cold damage), with redness spreading over the body and enlarging daily.
Danhuo (Dan Fire): Appearance is red, burning like fire, forming blisters suddenly.
Zhutianhuo Dan (Vermilion Field Fire Dan): Begins on the back, spreading over the body, forming sores within one day and night.
Tianzao Huodan (Heavenly Stove Fire Dan): Appears between the inner upper arms and sacrum, bright red flowing to the glans penis, with redness, swelling, and bleeding.
Chiliu Dan (Red Flowing Dan): Patches of redness on the body like rouge staining, spreading gradually, colloquially called "Flow". Caused by heat (red) or wind (white), accompanied by swelling and high fever.
Chiyou Zhong (Red Wandering Swelling): Skin is red and swollen, moving/wandering不定ly.
Fenghuo Dan (Wind Fire Dan): Flesh turns black initially, then suddenly swells.
Baohuo Dan (Violent Fire Dan): Shape carries a black color.
Youhuo Dan (Wandering Fire Dan): Appears on both arms and back, feeling like scorching fire.
Shihuodan (Stone Fire Dan): Covers the whole body, arising internally like fine millet grains, green-black in color.
Yuhuodan (Stagnant Fire Dan): Begins on the back.
Chihei Dan (Red-Black Dan): Originally heat-toxin damages blood and qi, stagnating and steaming red, then cold pathogen invades. Cold and heat interact, accumulating stasis, resulting in red-black color.
Lihuo Dan (Malignant Fire Dan): Begins below the ilium, red on the back and migratory.
Feihuo Dan (Flying Fire Dan): Attaches to both arms, back, and knees.
Liuhuodan (Retaining Fire Dan): Forms sores within one day and night, like a jujube, bright red.

*Luxin Jing* (Cranial Fontanelle Classic): Yellow Emperor asked Qibo: Why do infants and young children often suffer from severe diseases and Dan Du? How were these two distinguished previously? Qibo replied: Yang dissociation after ten years of age constitutes "Du" (Toxin); under ten years constitutes "Dan". Dan and Du are essentially the same, distinguished only by size/severity. Treatment using correct formulas ensures no error. Someone asked: If both men and women suffer from Dan Du toxins entering the body, how many unjust deaths occur? This is largely due to believing evil teachers and being terrified. Do not let ignorant people handle this; please follow the formulas. The shapes described in the following diagram are presented now.
Yifang Huodan starts from the hypochondria.
