According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases by Chao Yuanfang) regarding the condition of pediatric boils (Jie): A swelling and nodule measuring one to two cun in length is called a boil. It resembles an abscess (Yong), characterized by heat and pain. If left untreated for a long time, it will suppurate and ulcerate. Healing occurs once the pus and blood are expressed completely. This condition arises from wind-heat pathogenic factors lodging in the skin, causing stagnation and accumulation of Qi and Blood. In cases of abscesses or boils, if the wound closes before the pus and blood are fully expressed through pressure, noxious fluids remain inside. Although it may appear healed superficially, it will eventually recur and transform into a fistula (Lou).
