According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases by Chao Yuanfang) regarding the syndrome of tinnitus in children: The Hand-Taiyang meridian enters the interior of the ear. If a child's head and brain are affected by wind pathogens, the wind enters and attacks the meridian, striking against the body's qi, thus causing tinnitus.
If pathogenic factors contend with healthy qi, over time the pathogenic factors stagnate, eventually leading to deafness.
*Ying Ru Fang* (Formulas for Infants and Children) treats incessant ringing in the ears and eyes day and night in children with Changwu San (Calamus and Aconite Powder):
Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Shichangpu), Rhizoma et Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Wutou, processed by frying; each 4 fen).
Grind the above into powder, wrap in cotton, and insert into the ear. Apply twice daily.
According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* regarding the syndrome of wind-stroke pulling pain in the ears of children: Tinnitus and wind-induced pulling pain in children both originate from wind affecting the head and brain. When wind enters the meridians and agitates with qi, it causes pulling pain. As wind gradually invades and contends with healthy qi, if the movement is slight, only tinnitus occurs; if wind strikes suddenly and violently while healthy qi is strong, the intense contention causes acute symptoms, resulting in pulling pain. If this continues without cessation, the wind will not dissipate, fluids will accumulate, and heat may transform them into yellow discharge; in severe cases, thin pus may form.
*Qianjin Yi Fang* (Supplement to Formulas Worth a Thousand Gold) treats ear pain:
Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata (Fuzi, processed and peeled), Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Shichangpu).
Take equal parts of these two herbs, wrap them, and insert into the ear.
According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* regarding the syndrome of ear sores in children: Sores arise in both ears of children, recurring intermittently with purulent discharge. This is caused by wind-dampness contending with blood and qi, also known in common parlance as "moon erosion sore."
*Qianjin Fang* (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold) treats pediatric ear sores:

*Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang* provides Bai Fan San (Alum Powder) for treating pediatric ear sores, scalp sores, impetigo around the mouth, and spider sores:
Alumen (Bai Fan, burned to ash), Fructus Cnidii (Shechuangzi; each 1 liang).

*Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang* treats children with sores inside the ear discharging fluid:
Alumen (Bai Fan, burned to ash, 1 qian), Moschus (Shexiang, 1 zi).
Grind the above ingredients finely together. Insufflate a small amount into the ear.
*Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang* treats children whose ears were damaged by picking, causing continuous discharge of fluid from sores inside the ear:
