The *Qianjin Yi* discusses: Ordinary people often have polyps growing in the nose causing blockage, leading to discomfort in sleep and diet, and breathing is only possible through the nasal passages. Although there are numerous folk remedies, none have been effective. Only the *Bencao Jing* (Compendium of Materia Medica) states that Xionghuang (Realgar) treats nasal polyps, which is not false. However, contemporary people do not know the method of using Realgar; physicians use it raw, thus causing patients to suffer or even die. Once, a person suffered from nasal polyps preventing respiration. I used processed Realgar, approximately the size of a large jujube per day. After ten days, the polyp naturally expelled itself. Respiration was immediately restored, and it did not recur. The method for processing Realgar is contained in the Immortal Elixir prescription within the *Qianjin Yi*; one should seek it out, expecting miraculous efficacy.
