Dingxiang Zhusan (Different from the Ju Fang): Treats gastric reflux, vomiting, hiccups, and diarrhea.
Dingxiang (Tsaoko Cardamom Fruit), 37 grains; Jianlianrou (Lotus Seed Flesh, heart removed), 14 grains. Decoct these two ingredients separately and filter out the dregs. Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger), 7 slices; Huangshumi (Yellow Sorghum), half he.
Add one and a half bowls of water, cook until done, remove the ginger, and consume the porridge. This formula imitates the preparation of Fuzi Jingmi Tang (Aconite and Rice Decoction). The original formula uses Jingmi (Rice), while this one uses Nuomi (Glutinous Rice), both chosen for their ability to reach the stomach directly. Although the condition is slightly stabilized, it acts like a general breaking through an encirclement. The Ju Fang lacks Lotus Seed Flesh and Sorghum but includes more Chuanwu (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata), Hongdou (Adzuki Bean), Qingpi (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae Viride), Chenpi (Exocarpium Citri Reticulatae), Gancao (Licorice Root), Ganjiang (Dried Ginger), Liangjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Officinalis Recens), Yizhi (Alpinia Oxyphylla Fruit), and Hujiao (Black Pepper). These are made into a powder, decocted into soup, and taken with a pinch of salt.
