Zhuling Wan: Treats seminal emission and turbid urine with dysuria caused by damp-heat damaging Qi in obese individuals.
Ingredients: Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, broken into bean-sized pieces, 1 liang purified); Zhuling (Polyporus, remove black skin, slice, paste with rice flour, dry, grind to powder, 2 liang purified).
Preparation and Administration: First, take 1 liang of Zhuling powder and stir-fry it with Banxia, ensuring it does not burn. Remove and place on the ground to dissipate fire heat. Grind Banxia into powder, mix with rice paste to form pills, incorporating the stir-fried Zhuling powder. Size as large as Sophora japonica seeds. After drying, stir-fry again with 1 liang of Zhuling powder until slightly cracked. Store in a porcelain jar. Take 30-40 pills on an empty stomach with light salt water. At another dose between 1 PM and 5 PM, take with warm wine. This formula uses Banxia to resolve phlegm and Zhuling to guide water downward, employing the method of "treating obstruction with unblocking agents" (Tong Yin Tong Yong).
Weixi Wan (from *Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang*): Treats urine turbid like rice washings, accompanied by dysuria and nocturnal emission, belonging to the category of turbid urine due to Fire stagnation.
Ingredients: Fengla (Beeswax), Bai Fuling (Poria, each 4 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Cut Poria into small cubes, size of dice. Boil 2 liang of Polyporus in one sheng of water, strain, and boil the Poria cubes in the filtrate until the liquid is absorbed. Dry, grind to powder. Melt beeswax and form pills, size of bullet seeds. Chew thoroughly on an empty stomach until saliva is produced, then swallow slowly. Stop when urine becomes clear. Avoid rice vinegar; especially avoid anger and overexertion.
Huanshao Dan: Treats insufficiency of Essence and Blood in the Heart, Spleen, and Kidney meridians in the elderly, leading to insecurity of Essence and Marrow.
Ingredients: Nong Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex, stir-fried with salt water), Chuan Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, soaked in wine and roasted), Bajitian (Morinda Officinalis Radix), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus), Roushurong (Cistanche Deserticola), Bai Fuling (Poria, each 2 liang); Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, processed with Licorice), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus), Chushizi (Broussonetiae Fructus, each 2 liang); Ganshanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma), Gouqizi (Lycii Fructus), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, each 4 liang); Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Huixiang (Foeniculi Fructus, stir-fried with salt water, each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Mix refined white honey with red date pulp to form pills, size as large as Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50-70 pills per dose. In the morning, take with salt water; at bedtime, take with warm wine. For seminal slipperiness, remove Niuxi and add Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix) 2 liang; this becomes "Dalao'er Wan".
Jinsuo Yuguan Wan: Treats seminal emission and leukorrhea due to non-interaction between Heart and Kidney.
Ingredients: Qianshi (Euryales Semen), Lianrou (Nelumbinis Plumula, remove heart), Oujielen (Nelumbinis Node Powder), Bai Fuling (Poria), Ganshanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma, equal parts); Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus, half dose).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to powder. Use Jin Yingzi (Rosa Laevigatae Fructus) paste instead of honey. Pound two thousand times. Form pills size as large as Sophora japonica seeds. Take 50 pills per dose. When hungry, take with pure wine or rice soup.
Jiulong Dan: Treats uncontrollable seminal emission due to excessive sexual indulgence, causing loss of essence and deviation of its pathway.
Ingredients: Gouqizi (Lycii Fructus), Jin Yingzi (Rosa Laevigatae Fructus, remove thorns and seeds), Lianxu (Nelumbinis Stamen), Lianrou (Nelumbinis Plumula, remove heart), Qianshi (Euryales Semen), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus), Dangguishen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shudihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata), Bai Fuling (Poria, each 3 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind to powder. Form pills with wine paste, size as large as Sophora japonica seeds. Take 100 pills per dose. Take with wine or salt water.
Jingjin Cuixian Wan: Presented in Guiyi year of Kangxi reign by Wang Ren, Vice Minister of Court of Imperial Sacrifices.
Ingredients: Shayuan Jili (Astragali Complanati Semen, 8 liang, washed clean, lightly roasted between papers, take 4 liang fine powder for medicine, reserve 4 liang coarse powder to boil with Jin Yingzi for paste); Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, steamed with wine, pitted, 4 liang purified); Qianshi (Euryales Semen, 4 liang, pounded together with Gouqizi); Bailianrui (Nelumbinis Plumula, 4 liang, washed with wine and dried; if unavailable, use Lianxu); Gouqizi (Lycii Fructus, 4 liang); Tusizi (Cuscutae Semen, soaked in wine, steamed until soft, pounded and roasted, 2 liang); Chuan Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix, remove rhizome, washed with wine, 2 liang); Fupenzi (Rubiae Fructus, remove stem, soaked in wine, nine steaming and nine sun-drying cycles, 2 liang purified); Jin Yingzi (Rosa Laevigatae Fructus, remove hairs, 2 liang).
Preparation and Administration: The above eight ingredients are ground into fine powder. Mix the reserved coarse Jili powder with Jin Yingzi paste, blend with the fine powder, add refined white honey, and form pills size as large as Sophora japonica seeds. Take 80 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 100 pills. Take on an empty stomach with light salt water.
