Pi Xie (Spleen Diarrhea) caused by excess pathogenic factors can be effectively treated by needling the Tian Shu point without worry.
If accompanied by symptoms of Spleen deficiency among the five Zang organs, applying moxibustion frequently will naturally eliminate the disease.
Tian Shu: Located two cun lateral to the umbilicus. Needle one cun, apply fifty moxa cones, suitable for tonification. Corresponds to the Pishu acupoint.
For Taiyang Cold Damage (Shanghan) presenting with anhidrosis and diarrhea, needle Fuliu; if excessive sweating occurs, use Hegu to consolidate and stop sweat.
If the six pulses present as deep and thin, applying needle tonification will lead to recovery.
Fuliu: Located two cun above the medial malleolus. Needle one fen, along the skin towards the bone, one and a half cun down; apply fourteen moxa cones. Highly effective.
Hegu: Located in the depression at the web of the thumb and index finger. Tonify for cold syndromes, reduce for heat syndromes.
When the pathogen has passed through its transmission cycle but remains unresolved, resulting in a heavy condition, needle Qimen.
If sudden asthma attacks the heart and hypochondrium, carefully apply reduction at Zusanli.
Qimen: Located four cun below the nipple, at the end of the third rib. Needle one fen, along the skin outward one and a half cun. Tonify first, then reduce; apply fourteen moxa cones.
For slender calves, curled feet, and pain making walking difficult, golden needles can treat Xuanzhong.
Wind-cold numbness extending to tendon pain can be cured instantly with one insertion.
Xuanzhong: Located three cun above the lateral malleolus. Needle three fen. Corresponds to the Huantiao acupoint.
For wind-toothache or worm-eaten teeth causing sleepless nights, seek Lvxi (Taixi); pain can be eliminated.

Jinmen and Shenmai treat head and chest conditions; severe, mild, and deficiency-cold presentations differ.
Vomiting accompanied by vertigo requires regulating breath during needle retention.
Jinmen: Located in the depression below the tarsal bone of the lateral malleolus. Needle three fen, penetrating into Shenmai; reduce excess, tonify deficiency; apply fourteen moxa cones.
Shenmai: Located at the transverse crease between red and white flesh below the lateral malleolus. Insert half cun; mostly reduce, rarely tonify; moxibustion is contraindicated.
