Leonurus japonicus (Herba Leonuri) burnt to ash (2 qian), mixed with vinegar and administered orally in one or two cups. Cover the patient with a blanket; after sweating occurs, administer with ginger juice and aged wine. Another prescription: Use earthworms (Pheretima) calcined and ground into powder, taken with hot wine for immediate effect. Yet another prescription: Use the white nodes within bamboo stalks, burnt to ash together with wood ear mushrooms (Auricularia auricula-judae), taken with aged wine for immediate effect.
Ziran Tong (Pyritum, natural copper pyrite) (calcined seven times in vinegar, 2 qian) Zhusha (Cinnabar, 5 fen) Haier Yachi (Child's deciduous tooth) (one, calcined) Jizi (Gallus gallus domesticus egg) (one).
Insert seven needles into the egg, add a piece of mud from an east-facing wall of an old house, one cun of mulberry wood branch, Jinbo (Gold foil) (any amount), and one bowl of water. Cook the mixture with the egg in a pot until done. Discard the egg white and use only the yolk. Grind the yolk together with the four medicinal ingredients finely to make pills. Treats all injuries from knives and arrows, as well as falls, blows, and bites from pigs or dogs, where the condition is critical and near death. Immediately sprinkle the powder on the wound; the blood will naturally liquefy. Apply again to revive. If there is severe internal injury with blood entering the viscera, take 1.5 qian of the medicine, mix with half a cup of hot wine and half a cup of child's urine (Tongbian), and take orally for immediate effect. If intestines are prolapsed but not severed, urgently use mulberry root bark (Morus alba cortex) as thread, dipped in Huarui Shi San, to suture the wound. First, cook millet porridge, take the thick liquid, and wash with warm temperature. Then, use fresh rooster comb blood mixed with refined oil to lubricate the intestines, and gently push them back into the abdominal cavity. Externally, use long hair from a living person to tightly suture the abdominal skin wound. (Suturing method: Must suture the flesh beneath the skin of the wound; if suturing the skin itself, the medicine cannot penetrate the muscle, making it difficult to achieve efficacy). Sprinkle the powder on the mouth/wound to stop bleeding and restore consciousness immediately. Do not cover or wrap the wound with materials, lest it suppurate and bleed. If the wound is dry, first moisten with saliva, then sprinkle the powder. In cases of postpartum blood syncope, retained dead fetus, or retained placenta leading to apparent death, if the anterior chest remains warm, urgently mix 1 qian of the medicine with child's urine and take orally warm for immediate recovery. Blood above the diaphragm transforms into yellow fluid and is vomited out; blood below the diaphragm is discharged via urination. This is truly the supreme medicine for all types of blood stasis.
Huarui Shi (Chloritoides Schistum) 2 liang (best sourced from Shanzhou, characterized by yellow spots resembling flower centers) Liuhuang (Sulfur) 4 liang (bright and moist quality is best). Grind both ingredients finely and mix evenly. Place in a Yangcheng clay jar, cover tightly, and secure with iron wire. Seal externally with salt mud and allow to dry. Write Bagua (Eight Trigrams) and Wuxing (Five Elements) characters on the outside. Place on square bricks. Construct a "Hundred-Eye Furnace" around it, using approximately 20 jin of charcoal inside the furnace. Cover the clay jar, ignite fire from below, starting with gentle heat (Wen) and increasing to strong heat (Wu), gradually heating through from bottom to top. Burn from morning until evening, then let it cool undisturbed overnight. On the next morning, remove the contents, grind finely, and store in a clean porcelain bottle for future use.
