It should be received and drunk using a copper vessel. (Soil under the hooves of a white horse walking eastward) Used in alchemical arts to discern a woman's extramarital affairs. There are many colors of horses, with pure white being superior. If the mouth, eyes, and hooves are all white, some common varieties may have two or three ears; such perfection is not strictly necessary for minor uses. Horse liver and meat from under the saddle are said by old texts to be fatal if eaten. Eating fine horse meat without drinking wine can also be fatal. White horses with blue-black hooves should not be eaten. The *Book of Rites* states: Horses with black spines and spotted arms, whose meat has been exposed to leaking rain (Lou Fu), are unfit for consumption. Horse bones are toxic if they injure humans. If the human body has sores, horse sweat, horse breath, and horse hair can all cause harm.
[Note] The *Bie Lu* states: White horse hair treats infantile convulsions and epilepsy. White horse eyes treat infantile maternal toxin-induced convulsions and epilepsy. The tether rope treats infantile epilepsy; boil it to make a decoction for washing.
[Male Dog Penis]

Also known as Gou Jing. (Dog Gallbladder) Brightens vision, treats scabbed ulcers, and malignant sores. (Dog Heart) Treats sorrowful and resentful Qi, expels evil. (Dog Brain) Treats headache due to wind-bi syndrome, sores in the lower genital region, and nasal polyps. Nourishes the five Zang organs, repairs severe injuries, lightens the body, and benefits Qi. (Bone within Dog Feces) Treats chills and fever, and infantile convulsions and epilepsy.
White dogs and black dogs are used medicinally. Burned white dog bone ash treats various sores and breast abscesses due to engorgement (Du Ru). Yellow dog meat strongly tonifies deficiency; females are inferior to males, and males are referred to as "father dogs." They are also called "Quan" because they have an additional suspended hoof on their feet. White dog blood combined with white chicken meat, white goose liver, white mutton, black chicken meat, and cattail soup are contraindicated for patients and should not be eaten. When dogs have red eyes and dry noses in spring and appear frenzied, their meat should not be consumed.
[Note] The *Bie Lu* states: Dog bone ash cleanses the heart/mind. The mandible bone treats various infantile epilepsies. The testicles treat the twelve diseases in women; burn them into ash and ingest. Dog hair treats dystocia. White dog feces treat carbuncles; crush with water to extract juice and drink to treat poisons that cannot be taken orally.
