用肥生姜、黄柏各一块，将姜开孔入黄柏在内，再用姜片掩定，将黄泥封，用
火煨熟，取自然汁点。

用鸡子一个去黄，用清将黄连末五分入内，搅匀封固放臭泥内一宿，次日滤清点眼有神效。
治远年近日血风赤眼、昏暗，皆是脏积热毒。

上为末，蜜丸，每服五十丸，盐汤送下。
即熟地黄丸。
熟地黄（一两） 生地黄（五钱） 柴胡（八钱） 天门冬 甘草（炙） 枳壳（麸炒） 地骨皮 黄连
五味子（各五钱） 人参（二钱） 当归身（酒浸，焙干） 黄芩（各五钱）
上为末，每服百丸，茶清米汤俱可下。
治肾虚眼不耐神，神光不足。
蔓荆子 川芎 山药 山茱萸（去核，各二两二钱） 牡丹皮 熟地黄（三两） 泽泻 白茯苓（各八钱）
上为末，蜜丸，每服七十丸，空心米汤下。
[Prescription for Treating Sudden Red Eyes]
Take one piece of large ginger and one piece of Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai). Cut a hole in the ginger, insert the Phellodendri Cortex into it, cover with a slice of ginger to seal, wrap tightly with yellow mud, and roast over fire until cooked. Extract the natural juice and apply as eye drops.

Take one chicken egg, remove the yolk, and use only the albumen (egg white). Mix 5 fen of Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian) powder into the albumen, stir evenly, seal, and place in foul mud overnight. Filter the liquid the next day and apply as eye drops; this is highly effective.
For treating chronic or recent blood-wind red eyes and dim vision, these conditions are caused by heat-toxin accumulation in the zang-fu organs.
Ingredients: Angelicae Sinensis Radix Rubra (Dangguiwei), Paeoniae Radix Rubra (Chishaoyao), Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Equiseti Herba (Muzei), Tribuli Fructus (Bajili), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), Chrysanthemi Flos (Juhua), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai), Rhei Radix et Rhizoma (Dahuang), Asari Radix et Rhizoma (Beixixin), Polygoni Multiflori Caulis (Tianhuafen), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Cicadae Periostracum (Chantui), Angelicae Dahuricae Radix (Baizhi), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdihuang), Celosiae Semen (Qingxiangzi), Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfuzi).
All ingredients in equal parts. Coarsely crush (ju), decoct in water, and take orally.
[Liuwei Dihuang Wan Modified Formula]
Lycii Fructus (Gouqizi, 1 liang), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui, 1 liang, soaked in wine), Morindae Officinalis Radix (Baji, 5 qian, boiled with Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, heart removed), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi, 5 qian), Anemarrhenae Rhizoma (Zhimu, 10 qian, fried with wine), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao, 5 qian), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai), Poria (Fushen, 1 liang), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 5 qian), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao, 5 qian), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdihuang, 1 liang, soaked in wine), Asparagi Radix (Tianmendong), Cuscutae Semen (Tusizi, 1 liang, soaked in wine, steamed, mashed, dried, and powdered).
Powder all ingredients, mix with honey to make pills. Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with salt water.

Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudihuang, 1 liang), Rehmanniae Radix Recens (Shengdihuang, 5 qian), Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu, 8 qian), Asparagi Radix (Tianmendong), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Ganzhi, roasted), Aurantii Fructus (Zhike, bran-fried), Lycii Cortex (Digupi), Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Schisandrae Fructus (Wuweizi, 5 qian each), Ginseng Radix (Renshen, 2 qian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Dangguishen, soaked in wine, dried), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin, 5 qian each).
Powder all ingredients. Take 100 pills per dose, washed down with tea infusion or rice soup.
[Treating Kidney Deficiency Eye Fatigue and Insufficient Shen-Guang]
Vitex Fructus (Manjingzi), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao), Corni Fructus (Shanzhuyu, pitted, 2 liang 2 qian each), Moutan Cortex (Mudanpi), Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudihuang, 3 liang), Alismatis Rhizoma (Zexie), Polyporus (Baifuling, 8 qian each).
Powder all ingredients, mix with honey to make pills. Take 70 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with rice soup.
