The above three ingredients are ground into fine powder in equal proportions. Use raw honey to form pills the size of *Wutong* seeds. Take seven pills per dose. Crush one fen (approx. 3g) of raw Gancao (Licorice Root), add half a cup of fresh water, rub to extract a thick juice, and swallow with this juice. Each dose must be taken after the first day and before the fifteenth day of the lunar month, during the Wugeng (early morning) period. The patient must sit up. It is essential to instruct the patient beforehand not to make any sound or breathe heavily; if sound is made during ingestion, the treatment will be ineffective. If cold water is feared, slight warming is acceptable. When preparing the medicine, it must be compounded before the third watch on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. If urgent use is required, compound it on a bright moonlit night before the fifteenth day of each month. Do not let women, unrelated persons, chickens, dogs, cats, or other livestock see the process. During compounding and administration, no one present may make sound. Remember this well, remember this well.
