Pulverize the aforementioned herbs finely and sieve them through a fine mesh to obtain a powder. Incorporate Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) and grind until uniform. Suspend this mixture inside a dog gallbladder using a thread, place it behind the stove to dry, and then retrieve it. Grind again, and mix with vinegar-boiled wheat paste to form pills, sized like mung beans. Take five pills at any time, washed down with hot wine or Danggui wine (Angelica Sinensis Decoction).
Moyao Wan (Myrrh Pill) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*] Treats postpartum evil blood attacking and stabbing, causing cramping pain in the abdomen. It is suitable for consumption. It benefits the meridians and stops pain.
Ingredients: Myrrh (Mo Yao, 没药) (1 liang), Cinnamon Twig (Rou Gui, 肉桂) (3 fen, remove coarse bark), Angelica Root (Dang Gui, 当归) (chopped, slightly stir-fried), Genkwa Flower (Yuan Hua, 芫花) (mixed with vinegar, stir-fried until dry), Rehmannia Root (Di Huang, 地黄) (stir-fried until yellow), Trogopterus Dung (Wu Ling Zhi, 五灵脂), Dried Resin of Toxicodendron (Gan Qi, 干漆) (crushed, stir-fried until smoke emerges), Pollen Typhae (Pu Huang, 蒲黄) (each 0.5 liang). Process: Pulverize and sieve into powder. Mix with vinegar and wheat paste to form pills, sized like Sophora seeds. Take ten pills mixed with wine at any time.
Ziyi Wan [Source: *Shenghui Fang*] Treats accumulated evil blood attacking and stabbing, causing pain in the heart/abdomen and both hypochondria.
Ingredients: Corydalis Rhizome (Yan Hu Suo, 延胡索), Cinnamon Twig (Rou Gui, 肉桂) (remove coarse bark), Angelica Root (Dang Gui, 当归) (chopped, slightly stir-fried, each 1 liang), Dried Resin of Toxicodendron (Gan Qi, 干漆) (crushed, stir-fried until smoke emerges), Trogopterus Dung (Wu Ling Zhi, 五灵脂), Myrrh (Mo Yao, 没药), Moutan Cortex (Mu Dan Pi, 牡丹皮), Medicated Leaven (Shen Qu, 神曲) (slightly chopped, each 0.5 liang). Process: Pulverize and sieve into powder. Boil vinegar and wheat paste to form pills, sized like Sophora seeds. Take twenty pills with decoction of ginger and vinegar at any time; taking with warm wine is also acceptable.
Xuejie Wan (Dragon's Blood Pill) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*] Treats postpartum evil blood and qi, causing stabbing pain in the abdomen.
Ingredients: Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) (0.5 liang, finely ground), Myrrh (Mo Yao, 没药) (1 fen), Costus Root (Mu Xiang, 木香) (1 liang), Cassia Heart (Gui Xin, 桂心) (0.5 liang), Angelica Root (Dang Gui, 当归) (0.5 liang, chopped, slightly stir-fried). Process: Pulverize and sieve into powder. Incorporate Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) and grind until uniform. Mix with vinegar-boiled wheat paste to form pills, sized like Sophora seeds. Take ten pills with ginger wine at any time.
Honglanhua Tang (Safflower Decoction) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*] Treats postpartum stagnation of evil blood in the abdominal viscera, causing stabbing pain.
Ingredients: Carthamus Flower (Hong Lan Hua, 红蓝花) (0.5 liang), Dragon's Blood (Qilin Jie, 麒麟竭) (0.5 liang), Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) (1 liang, finely ground), Angelica Root (Dang Gui, 当归) (1 liang, chopped, stir-fried until yellow), Scales of Red Carp (Chi Li Yu Lin, 赤鲤鱼鳞) (1 liang, burned to ash), Frog (Qing Wa, 青蛙) (1 unit, remove belly, roast until charred), Cassia Heart (Gui Xin, 桂心) (1 liang). Process: Pulverize and sieve into powder. First, boil five sheng of vinegar in a stone pot until bubbling. Add all herb powders and simmer together into a paste. Store in a porcelain container. Take one tea spoon with warm wine at any time.
Yuanhua Wan (Genkwa Pill) [Source: *Shenghui Fang*] Treats postpartum accumulation of cold in the abdomen, stagnation of evil blood, attacking the heart and abdomen with unbearable pain.
Ingredients: Genkwa Flower (Yuan Hua, 芫花) (2 liang, separately ground into powder), Angelica Root (Dang Gui, 当归) (1 liang, chopped, slightly stir-fried), Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) (1 liang, finely ground), Curcuma Zedoaria Rhizome (Peng E Zhu, 蓬莪术) (3 fen), Cassia Heart (Gui Xin, 桂心) (0.5 liang), Aconite Root (Chuan Wu, 川乌) (large ones, remove skin and navel, processed, cut, 1 liang), Prepared Aconite Root (Fu Zi, 附子) (processed, remove skin and navel, 1 liang), Dried Ginger (Gan Jiang, 干姜) (processed, cut, 0.5 liang), Evodia Fruit (Wu Zhu Yu, 吴茱萸) (soaked in water seven times, dried, slightly stir-fried, 1 fen). Ingredients: Dragon's Blood (Xuejie, 血竭) (1 liang), Frankincense (Ru Xiang, 乳香) (1 liang). Process: Grind the above two ingredients finely. Use one sheng of wine and two liang of white honey, stir well. Simmer over low heat in a silver or earthenware vessel until it becomes a paste. Take half a spoonful mixed with warm wine at any time.
