After contracting Shanghan (Cold Damage), the appearance of ulcers in the genital/anal region is caused by heat in the abdomen. The patient has poor appetite, leading to an empty and deficient stomach. The "three worms" (parasites) seek food, consuming the Zang organs or the lower body. Ulcers form in hidden areas, hence the name "Shi Chuang" (Eroding Ulcer). Symptoms include teeth lacking luster, a white coating covering the entire tongue, heavy limbs, mental confusion with a tendency to sleep, and in severe cases, ulcers inside the lips. If ulcers appear on the inner upper lip like millet grains, accompanied by internal restlessness and pain, this indicates parasites eroding the Zang organs. If ulcers appear on the inner lower lip and the patient prefers sleeping, this indicates parasites eroding the lower body. If the anus rots exposing the viscera, it is fatal. It is also stated that "Shi Bing" (Eroding Disease) resembles Baihe Bing (Lily Disease), Huhuo Bing (Fox Confusion Disease), Shiqi Bing (Dampness Disease), and Guiqi Bing (Ghost Qi Disease); one must carefully distinguish them based on solar terms and climate.

Treatment for Shanghan complicated by Shi Chuang. Symptoms: ulcers on lips, spitting blood, millet-like ulcers inside lips, causing internal restlessness and pain. This indicates parasites above eroding Zang organs. If ulcers are on the inner lower lip and the patient sleeps often, it indicates parasites below eroding the lower body. Prescription (from *Zhouhou Fang*):
Take one chicken egg, crack head, extract white. Mix with 1 he of lacquer. Heat and blend. If lacquer solidifies, place in rectum, swallow while looking up. After a short while or half a day, worms may be passed or vomited. Severe cases repeat dose. Until heat subsides and disease cures. In febrile diseases, abdominal heat and poor intake cause three worms to move seeking food, eroding Zang organs and lower body. People are unaware. Take this medicine, otherwise worms kill.
For persistent lower body erosion (from *Zhouhou Fang*):

Treatment for Parasitic Erosion of Lower Body:
Make a clay jar (ying). Insert a bamboo tube (finger-thick) horizontally through the belly of the jar. Insert one end of the tube into the lower orifice. Place moxa the size of a chicken egg inside. Burn it. Blow at the jar opening to maintain combustion. Keep moxa burning. Strong patients can increase moxa amount. Very effective.
Another Prescription: For patients with colorless gums, white tongue, somnolence, insensitivity to pain/itch, or diarrhea, urgently treat the lower body. Those who do not understand this only attack the upper body, neglecting the lower body, leading to lower body parasitic anal erosion, rotting exposing viscera, and death.
Method: Use Mugwort Leaves (Ai Ye, *Artemisia argyi* leaves). Smoke the lower body using a tube. Allow smoke to enter. Add a little Realgar (Xionghuang, *Realgar*). Effective.
