The condition known as "Zhuijing" (Ptosis of the Eye / Drooping Pupil) refers to a state where the eye is blown upon by "Zefeng" (Thieving Wind, a pathogenic wind factor), causing the blood vessels to receive cold. The cold penetrates and rushes into the pupil. The Qi of wind and cold follows the eye tendons to pull and drag, causing the eyeball and pupil to droop downward. This condition is named Zhuijing.
Xijiao San (Rhino Horn Powder): Treats Zhuijing. Symptoms include frequent episodes of eye pain and blurred or scattered vision.
Ingredients: Xijiao (Horn of Rhinoceros, sliced thin), Lingyangjiao (Horn of Antelope, sliced thin, each half liang), Qingyangdan (Gallbladder of Blue Sheep, one piece), Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae), Huaishi (Fructus Sophorae), Qingxiangzi (Semen Celosiae), Qianshi (Semen Euryales, stir-fried), Chongweizi (Semen Viticis).
Usage: Mix the herbal powder evenly with the gallbladder juice.
Huai Shi Wan (Sophora Fruit Pill): Treats blindness caused by Zhuijing and the pulling/drooping of the eyeball.
Ingredients: Huai Shi (Fructus Sophorae), Lingyangjiao (Horn of Antelope, sliced thin), Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, remove rhizome), Tianma (Rhizoma Gastrodiae), Shashen (Radix Adenophorae or Radix Glehniae), Difuzi (Herba Kochiae), Renshen (Radix Ginseng, each 1.5 liang), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, remove rhizome).
Usage: Form into pills. Take an appropriate amount per dose (text incomplete, typically taken with decoction or warm water).
Juhua San (Chrysanthemum Powder): Treats Zhuijing. Wind-toxin pulls the pupil downward, eye tendons are tense and tight, and vision is unclear.
Ingredients: Gan Juhua (Flos Chrysanthemi), Lingyangjiao xie (Shavings of Horn of Antelope, each 1 liang), Xuanfuhua (Flos Inulae), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, remove rhizome), Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis, each 3 qian), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata), Haitongpi (Cortex Phellodendri).
Usage: Decoct with one zhong of water and take (text incomplete).
Xijiao San (Rhino Horn Powder): Treats Zhuijing. Symptoms include blindness, pulling and drooping of the eyeball, occasional pain, and scattered vision.
Ingredients: Xijiao (Horn of Rhinoceros), Lingyangjiao (Shavings of Horn of Antelope, each half liang), Cheqianzi (Semen Plantaginis), Gouqizi (Fructus Lycii, each 1 liang), Wuweizi (Fructus Schisandrae), Huaizi (Fructus Sophorae), Qingxiangzi (Semen Celosiae), Niubangzi (Fructus Arctii, lightly stir-fried).
Usage: Take with a decoction made from Huaizi (Sophora fruit).
Qianghuo San (Notopterygium Powder, from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*): Treats Zhuijing that has persisted for a long time without healing.
Ingredients: Qianghuo (Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii, 2 liang), Qin jiao (Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae, remove sprouts), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, remove rhizome), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Niubangzi (Fructus Arctii, lightly stir-fried), Huhuanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis Chinensis? Note: Text says Hu Huang Lian, likely Artemisiae Annuae Herba or similar bitter cold herb, but standard is Coptis; however, text specifies Hu Huang Lian which is often associated with specific preparations, here interpreted as a bitter cold herb), Fushen (Poria with Hostwood, each 1 liang).
Usage: Grind into powder. Take an appropriate amount on an empty stomach (text incomplete).
Xixin San (Asarum Powder, from *Taiping Shenghui Fang*): Treats Zhuijing eye, where wind-heat pulls the pupil downward.
Ingredients: Xixin (Radix et Rhizoma Asari), Chi Fuling (Poria with Brown Hostwood, each 1 liang), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae, 1 liang), Maimendong (Radix Ophiopogonis, remove heart and roast), Mutong (Caulis Akebiae), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Weirui (Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, each 1.5 liang), Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, 2 liang, cut into pieces and lightly stir-fried), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae, half liang, cut into pieces and lightly stir-fried).
Usage: Cut all ingredients into small pieces. Take 4 qian per dose. Add one zhong of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Remove dregs. Take warm after meals, and again before bed. Avoid roasted, fried, greasy, toxic, and slippery fish/meat.

Ingredients: Juemingzi (Semen Cassiae), Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri, remove sprouts), Qinpi (Cortex Fraxini), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, remove rhizome), She Xiancao (Herba Siegesbeckiae, each 1 liang), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, 2 liang).
Usage: Cut ingredients finely. Take an appropriate amount per dose (text incomplete, typically for washing eyes or internal use).

Ingredients: Zhuogan (Liver of Pig, one whole), Heidouhua (Flower of Black Soybean, dried), Huaihua (Flos Sophorae, dried), Dihuanghua (Flower of Rehmannia, dried, each 1 liang).
