Sitting cross-legged on the ground, with feet interlaced. Insert both hands through the bent knees, lower the head, and cross the neck over the hands. This method treats chronic coldness where the body cannot warm itself and deafness (loss of hearing). Another saying states: Place the feet on the nape of the neck, hold the breath for twelve cycles, and it will surely heal. For severe coldness without feeling warmth, persistent stubborn cold, deafness, and dizziness, long-term practice will yield results. If the body is stiff and unable to move or change for five or six days, this method can also be applied.
Wind deafness (Feng Long) originates from the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian. The Kidney Meridian is the gathering point of the Zong Mai (Major Vessels), and its Qi connects to the ears. When the meridian is deficient, Wind Pathogen takes advantage of the deficiency. Wind enters the vessels of the ear, causing the meridian Qi to become blocked and unventilated, resulting in wind deafness. Wind travels along the Qi vessels to the head and brain, causing deafness accompanied by intermittent headaches; thus, it is called wind deafness.
