In the cycle of the four seasons, if there is a sudden appearance of climate that does not conform to the solar terms, such as spring being warm but turning cold, summer being hot but turning cool, autumn being cool but turning hot, and winter being cold but turning warm. This phenomenon of having the climate without the corresponding season, once this abnormal climate arrives, no one escapes injury. Although ages differ, the diseases are mostly similar, often because they are complicated by toxic pathogens. Since this climate prevails universally at that time, it is called "Shi Qi" (Seasonal Epidemic Qi). If pregnant women encounter this, severe cases may result in fetal injury.
