One dose. If the patient is male, the medicine should be decocted by a female; if the patient is female, it should be decocted by a male. When preparing the medicine, avoid contact with filial sons, pregnant women, and sick people. Also avoid foul-smelling substances, chickens, dogs, and other animals. Furthermore, avoid greasy foods, wet dough, raw/cold foods, and hard foods. After taking one or two doses, worms will be vomited out or diarrhea will occur; at this point, no further medication is needed. If vomiting or diarrhea has not occurred, the entire dose should be consumed. If the disease is located in the upper part, it will be expelled through vomiting; if in the lower part, through diarrhea. The expelled worms resemble horse tails or human hair, and the illness will then be cured. This formula can expel various diseases. If the five zang organs are weak and the hun and po spirits are unsettled, use Baifuling Tang (Poria Decoction) to tonify.
Baifuling Tang (Poria Decoction)
Baifuling (Poria cocos, 1 qian), Renshen (Ginseng Radix, 3 qian), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix, 3 qian, heart removed), Longgu (Fossilized Bones, 2 qian), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 qian), Gancao (Licorice Root, 3 qian), Xijiao (Rhinoceros Horn Powder, 5 qian), Shengdihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens, 4 qian), Dazao (Jujube Fruit, 7 pieces), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, 4 qian, heart removed). Add two large bowls of water, decoct until eight he of liquid remain. Divide into three doses. Take warm. Administer every interval equivalent to walking five li. Continue to avoid wind and cold. If discomfort persists, prepare another dose after one day. Both of the above formulas must be taken consecutively.
Qianghuo Fangfeng Tang (Notopterygii et Saposhnikoviae Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*) treats Wind-Stroke due to trauma when pathogenic factors are initially in the exterior.
Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Gaoben (Ligustici Rhizoma), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Gancao (Licorice Root) (each 4 liang), Diyu (Sanguisorbae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (each 2 liang). Coarsely crush the herbs. Each dose: 5 qian, decoct in 1.5 bowls of water until 0.7 remains. Take hot at any time. Adjust dosage based on urgency. If heat signs are present, add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, 3 liang); if constipation, add Dahuang (1 liang) to gently promote bowel movement. If heat is severe, add Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 2 liang).
Baizhu Fangfeng Tang (Atractylodis Macrocephalae et Saposhnikoviae Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*)
Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Huangqi (Astragali Radix) (each 1 liang), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, 2 liang). Coarsely crush. Each dose: 7 qian, decoct in 1.5 bowls of water until 1 bowl remains. Take warm at any time.
In cases of Traumatic Wind-Stroke where the internal organs are constipated and urine is red, continuous sweating occurs after using warm/hot medicines, indicating the absence of cold pathogens. Continuous purging is appropriate. First, administer Xionghuang Tang (Chuanxiong and Scutellaria Decoction) for two or three doses, then use Da Xionghuang Tang (Major Chuanxiong and Scutellaria Decoction) to purge. If sweating is profuse and aversion to wind is severe, add Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 1-2 qian).
Xionghuang Tang (Chuanxiong and Scutellaria Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*)
Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 6 qian), Gancao (Licorice Root, 2 qian). Coarsely crush. Each dose: 5-7 qian, decoct in 1.5 bowls of water until 1 bowl remains. Take warm at any time. Stop after three doses, then proceed with purgatives.

Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Baifuling (Poria cocos), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum), Qianhu (Peucedani Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Manjingzi (Viticis Fructus), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Gancao (Licorice Root), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus) (each 1 liang), Bohe (Menthae Haplocalycis Herba), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each 0.5 liang). Coarsely crush. Each dose: 5 qian, decoct with 1.5 bowls of water and 5 slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) until 1 bowl remains.
Fangfeng Tang (Saposhnikoviae Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*) treats Traumatic Wind-Stroke, similar to Exterior Syndrome of Cold Damage not yet transmitted inward. It should be taken immediately.
Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (equal parts). Coarsely crush. Each dose: 5 qian, decoct in 1.5 bowls of water until 0.7 remains. Take warm. Subsequently, it is advisable to take Wugong San (Centipede Powder) in large amounts.
Wugong San (Centipede Powder) (from *Baoming Ji*)
Wugong (Scolopendra), Biao (Fish Maw, 5 qian), Zuopanlong (Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans, 5 qian, stir-fried until smoke ceases). Grind into fine powder. Take with Fangfeng Tang. If exterior-releasing medicines fail and the pathogen seems to enter directly inward, take Zuopanlong Wan (Left Dragon Pill). Observe stool consistency gradually. Add Badoushuang (Croton Seed Frost) to cure. Another version lacks Zuopanlong.
Zuopanlong Wan (Left Dragon Pill) (from *Baoming Ji*) treats pathogen entering directly inward.
Zuopanlong (Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans, stir-fried), Baijiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, stir-fried), Biao (Fish Maw, stir-fried, each 5 qian), Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 qian, ground). Grind into fine powder. Make pills with rice paste, size of Sophora japonica seeds. Each dose: 15 pills, take with warm wine. If interior symptoms persist, add half the powder of Zuopanlong Wan and 0.5 qian of Badoushuang (Croton Seed Frost). Make pills as above, mix with Zuopanlong Wan. Increase dose by one pill gradually until diarrhea occurs. If spasms continue after diarrhea, also take Qianghuo Tang (Notopterygium Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*).

If the disease is chronic and qi/blood are deficient, with pathogen entering the stomach, aim to harmonize qi and nourish blood.
Yangxue Danggui Dihuang Tang (Blood-Nourishing Angelica and Rehmannia Decoction) (from *Baoming Ji*)
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Gaoben (Ligustici Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) (each 1 liang), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 5 qian). Diyu Fangfeng San (Sanguisorba and Saposhnikovia Powder) (from *Baoming Ji*) treats Traumatic Wind-Stroke with Wind, half-exterior half-interior, slight sweating on head, no sweating on body. Sweating is contraindicated; this formula is suitable.

Treats Traumatic Wind-Stroke (from *Rumen Shiqin*)
Wushaoshe Touwei (Ultraman Keelback Head/Tail, 1), Liangtoujian (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos bud, 4), Quanxie (Scorpio, 4). Grind into fine powder. Separately, use 5 sheng of Duanshi (Burnt Lime), 5 sheng of Chaihui (Wood Ash), and 5 sheng of boiling water. Leach the ash water, clarify it, and add the medicine. Stir into a paste in an iron pot. Apply with saliva if thick. First wash the wound with warm vinegar water, then apply medicine. Yellow fluid will be vomited/exuded for one day; rinse mouth with fresh water to heal.
Yuzhen San (Jade True Powder) (also called Mingming San / Life-Taking Powder, Fangfeng San / Saposhnikovia Powder, from *Sanyin Fang*) treats Wind entering from various sores, Traumatic Wind-Stroke, metal/wound injuries, and blunt force trauma.
Tiantanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (equal parts), Moyao (Myrrha, 0.5 liang, separately ground). Grind into fine powder. For Traumatic Wind-Stroke, apply powder to the wound, then take 1 qian mixed with warm wine. If jaw is locked or opisthotonos occurs, take 2 qian mixed with Tongzi Xiaonian (Child's Urine). For internal injury from fighting, take 2 qian with warm wine. If beaten to death but heart is still warm,灌 2 qian with child's urine, followed by three doses. Tiantanxing is controlled by Fangfeng, preventing numbness. Discharge of yellow fluid indicates efficacy. Change dressing once daily.
