The Lung organ is weak, and Qi and Blood are insufficient; thus, Wind-Cold pathogenic factors invade the Lung. The Lung governs Qi. The circulation of Qi traverses the meridians and collaterals. If Qi is deficient, external pathogens easily invade. The True Qi (Zhen Qi) contends with the Pathogenic Qi, resulting in coughing and rebellious Qi, aversion to cold, scattered and lost voice, dizziness, vertigo, and excessive nasal discharge.
