The condition of continuous bleeding from hemorrhoids is caused by wind-cold pathogenic factors affecting the Large Intestine, and accumulated heat-toxin in the Lung Organ. The pathogens remain stagnant and invade the meridians and collaterals. Blood tends to flow and scatter when exposed to heat, compounded by deficiency of the Large Intestine.
Huaijiazi Wan Formula (also known as Rusheng Wan)
Treats bloody hemorrhoids. Specifically for symptoms where blood follows stool during defecation. (See formula under Rusheng Wan).
Danggui Wan (from *Zhizhi Fang*)
Treats hemorrhoids with continuous bleeding.
Herbs: Chuanwu (*Aconiti Radix*), Danggui (*Angelicae Sinensis Radix*), Huangqi (*Astragali Radix*), Shenqu (*Massa Medicata Fermentata*), Diyü (*Sanguisorbae Radix*), Huaihua (*Sophorae Flos*), Ejiao (*Colla Corii Asini*): all stir-fried or lightly fried, half liang each; Jingjie Sui (*Schizonepetae Spica*); Muzei Tou (*Equiseti Herba*).
Pi San (from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats bloody hemorrhoids.

Taogen Tang (from *Shengji Zonglu*)

Dao Hao Xi Fang (from *Shengji Zonglu*)
Treats bloody hemorrhoids due to long-standing wind-cold difficult to cure.
Use Dao Hao (*Setariae Italicae Caulis*) charred to ash, make decoction. Wash and irrigate the lower part. Three to five times a day. Continue until cured.
