Wu Gu (five grains), Wu Cai (five vegetables), Wu Chu (five domestic animals), and Wu Guo (five fruits), as well as medicinal stones, can all nourish the nature, benefit longevity, extend life, retard aging, cure diseases, and dispel evil pathogens.
However, the properties and flavors of various substances differ, exhibiting relationships of Xiang Xu (mutual enhancement/synergy), Xiang De (mutual compatibility/promotion), Xiang Wei (mutual inhibition/toxicity suppression), and Xiang E (mutual antagonism/inhibition). When compatible (Xiang De), efficacy is good; when synergistic (Xiang Xu), utility is realized; when inhibitory (Xiang Wei), toxicity is controlled; when antagonistic (Xiang E), they should be discarded or avoided.
Or, silver-colored or blue-green substances refer to Lan Yao (Isatis root/Indigo plant medicines); if yellow, it refers to fungal medicines. This distinction must not be overlooked.
Once a person suddenly feels dizzy, confused, and lethargic due to dietary indiscretion, worsening within a short time to the point of death, this is termed Yin Shi Zhong Du (Food Poisoning). Folklore suggests that poison is sometimes deliberately added to food, causing death.
Generally, mixed foods that are mutually enhancing (Xiang Xu/Xiang De) benefit the body, while those that are mutually harmful cause disease. Treating such conditions with medicine is difficult. Therefore, some illnesses do not respond to herbal therapy.
Formula: Jie Mian Du (Resolve Wheat Noodle Toxicity)
Consume Radish (Lu Fu) to resolve it. In the past, a Buddhist monk from the East saw someone eating wheat noodles and said, "This is hot in nature; why eat it?" Upon seeing radishes in the meal, he said, "Fortunately, there is this."
Jie Du Wan (Detoxifying Pill): Resolves all food poisons and various drug toxicities, and treats drowning, hanging, blunt force trauma deaths. It is also used for scalds/burns where breath and complexion have ceased.

Treating Stagnant Food Poisoning
Taking soybean juice to resolve it is effective.
Treating accidental poisoning from fish. These belong to the softshell turtle family, lacking heads and feet, and do not retract.
Decoct Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix) and Wu Lan (Isatidis Folium/Forsythiae Folium contextually likely Isatis leaf here given color reference earlier, but standard Wu Lan often refers to Isatis or related plants) in water and drink.

Sophorae Flavescentis Radix (Kushen, 1.5 liang) Chun Jiu (Mature Wine, 2 sheng; one method uses Ku Jiu/Vinegar). Decoct together until 1 sheng remains, strain. Drink warm. Recovery occurs upon vomiting. Alternatively, use rice washing water (Gan Jiang Zhi).

Dig a pit one chi deep beside a latrine, fill it with water. Take seven toilet sticks (Che Chou), burn them until smoking, and throw them into the pit. Then take the water juice, drink 4-5 sheng, and recover immediately.
Formula for Resolving Accumulation from Eating Rope Noodles/Slices (From *Jingyan Liangfang*)

Mix flour powder with a little Costus Root (Mu Xiang) powder, mix with salt water, and take. If a wine-like aroma appears in the mouth, the food stagnation is gone. Also excellent for treating alcohol-related ailments.
Formula for Treating Alcohol and Noodle Swelling
Use Shen Ling Ping Wei San, add Bai Yao, decoct with noodle water, and take. The same applies to alcohol injury.
Method for Identifying Food Poison. Any food poured on the ground that bubbles up should not be eaten. Eating it kills.

Formula for Resolving Egg Poisoning (From *Qianjin Fang*)
Resolve with pure wine.
Rou Gui Formula: Treats Shu Jiao (Sichuan Pepper) poisoning. Accidental ingestion leading to near-death state. Or foaming at the mouth. Body cold.
Decoct Cinnamomi Cortex (Rou Gui) juice and take. Drink more cold water, 1-2 sheng. If sudden urge to vomit arises, quickly decoct strong fermented soybean (Chi Dou) juice and take. Or eat garlic. Or drink Di Jiang (earth slurry/water from dug earth) is also acceptable.
Treating Heat-Clearing Noodle Toxicity
Use Goji Leaf (Gouqi Ye) and root bark, finely chop and mix with noodles, cook thoroughly and swallow. Good effect.
Xijiao San (Rhino Horn Powder) (From *Zhouhou Fang*): Specifically treats people making cakes from pheasant meat, causing vomiting and diarrhea after eating.
Grind Rhinocerotis Cornu (Xijiao) into powder. Take one fang cun bi (square inch spoonful). Also treats overdose of various drugs causing mental confusion. Burn to ash, take with water.
Formula for Treating Damage from Food/Drink Ingestion
Decoct Cong Chi Tang (Scallion and Fermented Soybean Decoction) with 1 liang of Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), strain, and divide for intake. Condition improves. If no effect, take Lu Gen Tang (Reed Root Decoction).
Treating cases where someone drinks water at night and accidentally swallows a leech into the abdomen. After staying for over a month, small leeches will be born/excreted, consuming liver blood, causing unbearable abdominal pain.
Take a piece of dry mud from fields, 3-4 small dead fish, melt pig fat (Zhu Gao) and mix evenly. Use 10 pods of Crotonis Fructus (Baiduo), remove shell and membrane, mix into the mud, grind into paste.
