Women suffering from wind-induced pruritus (itching caused by wind pathogen) are afflicted due to constitutional deficiency and the invasion of wind pathogens. The wind pathogen enters the Couli (pores and interstitial spaces of the skin), contends with the blood and Qi, and moves back and forth within the skin layers.
