When essence (Jing) is sufficient, spirit (Shen) is vigorous. When essence is depleted, spirit declines. When spirit and essence are depleted and weak, blood and qi become deficient, making the body susceptible to pathogenic factors. Therefore, encountering evil spirits or malevolent entities may result in attacks by these entities. Medicines that dispel evil and stabilize righteousness should be used concurrently. It is reported that shamans have indeed witnessed cases where individuals were suddenly struck, pierced, or manipulated by ghosts or deities, either due to offending their processions or encountering sudden collisions.
Gua Di San (Melon Seed Powder): Treats lower bleeding caused by ghost expulsion or piercing.
Ingredients: She Xiang (Moschus), Zao Jiao (Gleditsiae Fructus, peeled and seeded), Xiong Huang (Realgar, finely ground), Li Lu (Veratri Rhizoma, removed rhizome head), Gua Di (Momordicae Semen, each 1 fen). Grind the above ingredients into powder. Form pills the size of soybeans.
Shi San (also known as Chui Bi San or Cang Gong San): Treats ghost qi expulsion and striking. Symptoms include stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, vomiting or passing blood, coma, and unconsciousness.
Ingredients: Fan Shi (Alumen, 1 fen, wrapped in red soil mixed with water, fired in charcoal fire for the duration of two meals, then remove the red soil). Grind into a powder. Blow a dose the size of a soybean into the nose using a bamboo tube.

Ingredients: Sheng Ma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Du Huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix, removed rhizome head), Gui (Cinnamomi Cortex, bark removed, each half liang). Grind into powder. Take one qian per dose, mixed with warm wine. Another formula omits Gui and adds Xi Jiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu).

It is recommended to use a pillow made of Xi Jiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu). Alternatively, place Qing Mu Xiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum) in the pillow and carry it to ward off nightmares and sleep disturbances.
Treating Ghost Strike Disease: This disease appears abruptly without gradual onset, attaching suddenly to the person. It feels like a knife stab, with twisting and urgent pain in the chest, hypochondrium, and abdomen, intolerable to pressure. Immediate hematemesis occurs.
