Treats long-standing wind-pathogen invading the Liver and Spleen meridians, resulting in speech impediment (slurred speech).
Han Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) [removed woody core], Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) [processed until cracked, peel removed, each half tael], Weilingxian (Clematidis Radix et Rhizoma) [seedlings removed, washed, 3 qian], Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba) [half tael, nodes removed].
The above ingredients are crushed into coarse powder. Each dose is four qian, boiled with one *zhan* of water and half a *zhan* of decoction vehicle, simmered until reduced to seven-tenths, strained, and taken warm. Taken three to four times daily. The decoction vehicle consists of Zhuli (Bambusae Caulis Succus), Jingli (Viticipolygani Caulis Succus), and Dihuang Zhi (Rehmanniae Radix Juice), each one *zhan*, mixed evenly with Banjiang Zhi (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Juice) half a *zhan*.
The above four formulas were transmitted by Mr. Pang.

Xuanzhou Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus) [two fruits, lid removed, pulp discarded], Moyao (Myrrha), Ruxiang (Olibanum) [1 fen, ground in a mortar placed in a basin of water].
The above two ingredients are placed inside the Mugua. The lid is replaced and secured with bamboo pins. It is steamed over rice three to four times until soft, then ground into a paste. Each dose is three to five spoons, dissolved in Di Huang Jiu (Rehmanniae Radix Wine) for administration. Add Ban Sheng Dihuang Zhi (Juice of Rehmanniae Radix Recens) half a *zhan* and Wuhui Shangyun (Superior Rice Wine without ash) two *zhan* to mix. Take one-eighth of a *zhan*, heat and warm to dissolve the paste.
A patient suffered from this condition, starting in the afternoon and resolving at dusk. I said: This patient must have started symptoms from the feet. The *Classic* states: The twelve meridians each have tendons; only the Foot-Shaoyin tendon runs from the foot to the vertex. Generally, tendons are the external correspondence of the Liver. From midday to dusk is the Yang of heaven, which is Yin within Yang. Furthermore, Yin within Yang corresponds to the Lung. From Li (Wu hour/noon) to Dui (You hour/dusk) is the time when Yin is prosperous and Yang is weak. Thus, the *Lingbao Bi Fa* states: From Li to Qian, Kidney Qi is exhausted and Liver Qi is weak; the Liver and Kidney organs are affected by Yin Qi, hence the onset occurs at these times. I prescribed this formula, and after three doses, the patient was cured.
Zhang Decao, Vice Magistrate of She County, Tongguan Prefecture, often stated that his wife previously suffered from tendon spasms, unable to flex or extend her legs for over a year, requiring others to carry her when moving. She sought medical treatment from Yang Jilao of Sishui. Yang Jilao said: This is a tendon disease, suitable for treating with the following three formulas. After one year of medication, she was cured.

The above ingredients are ground into fine powder, mixed with refined honey, pounded, and formed into pills the size of mulberry seeds. Each dose is fifty pills, taken with warm wine, on an empty stomach and before sleep.
